Comcast Dishnetwork or DirectTV

I have Comcast for Net.. but.. am thinking of going with CLEAR WiMAXX that is starting up here in Portland... I talked to the rep for Clear.. seems in Feb late they will be havig a router that you can use with their usb mobile connection .. after that i can use that at home and disconnect the Comcast for a more portable net connection. That will be $50 for unlimited usage.. nice..

Would be interested to hear how you get on with Clear if you do go that way. As I have a network at home I didn't think it would work but your mention of a router changes that.

Went over to BestBuy... to check out Clear. they have a deal that you get the usb thingy free. If you order online it is $45. connection is free. first month is waived. that is if you sign up for a 2 yr contract. but. you have 7 days to try before contract starts. Walked out of Bestbuy with the usb connection and service start kit for $.02 which he waived. thus costing zero..the sign at the display says $88. but they are having a new service BestBuy special.

I took it to the office.. it is in a brick building. got kicked off a few times.. but I didnt have alot of time to play with it. need to find a good location.. however while waiting for my daughter to get out of school.. waiting while she took a test afterschool. I sat in my car with Netflix movie going on the pc.. nice.connection was good and strong.. no kickoffs. . hooked the speaker up to the car speaker with my ipod cable... like a headset.. hehehe.. so.. there i was. watching a bollywood film.. in stereo hahaha..

I will try the clear network out vigorously for the next few days.. and see how service is.

The rep at Bestbuy said if you can get a ethernet with a female usb port you can just hook up your usp connection to the router you have at home and not have to re purchace a new router.. I have a N100 at home.. top of line.. so not really wanting to go purchase a new router in not necessary.. looks lik i will make a trip over to Frys looking for a female usb with a ethernet connection..

We also do Brighthouse cable, spend about $100 for TV, phone and internet,,,we are happy with that, we paid that much just for Sky Satellite in UK without the phone or internet
