My husband called CSC today to see how far they are with our case, and he was told it could take up to 80 days from transfer until approval- and if we haven´t heard from them before the 80 days are up, we should call back. They gots to be kidding!!!. Do these people realize the amount of heartache and stress all the couples are undergoing while waiting for the NOA2  ?!.

My Visa journey:

Married August 10, 2007 in NYC

I-130 mailed to VSC via Chicago: March 13, 2008

NOA1 received: March 24, 2008

NOA2 received: May 22, 2008 (Approved yaaaaay!!!)

DS3032 choice of agent generated: June 14, 2008

Mailed Choice of Agent: June 14, 2008 (and emailed the NVC as well with my Choice Of Agent hoping to speed up things a bit)

Hubby received IV bill: June,2008

DS3032 entered the system: June 23, 2008

Thought my child needed the same papers as I did so we petitioned for him and decided to let his papers reac NVC before taking further action, but discovered he is indeed eligible for U.S citizenship- 7 months wasted arrrrrghhh! NOW WE ARE IN A HURRY! :)

Im sorry to hear that, its night right to wait so long for your loved ones to join you. Not fair at all. I dont think VSC or CSC has any idea of how hard this is to deal with, especially with children.

May I ask, how did your I-130 petition for your husband get approved so quickly?? WOW!! That is a receord for VSC.

It´s not fair at all to anyone- This waiting has turned into a headache .

My husband is the USC. Honestly, I have no idea how my petition was approved as quickly as it was. We didn´t get any touches and we was prepared for it to take months, but very pleasantly surprised that it was approved as fast as it was- which also is a bit confusing when the petition for my son has taken this long. You´d think if mine was approved it wouldn´t take much for them to approve my childs petition, but I guess we´ve learned something new. We haven´t started on my NVC case because we were advised by the embassy out here to wait for the NOA2 for my son, so we could do NVC, the medical exams and interview together.

How far along are you on your journey???.

Feel your pain.

Hope they approve your son's application soon.

Thank you so much and I wish for a speedy approval for you guys as well :)

Congratulations on your marriage :). I wish u the very best of luck & hope and pray you wont have to wait as long as we have waited. Hopefully Vermont has started on a fresh slate for 09 (= speedy approvals) so you can be together as a family as soon as possible.

My husband said America is like Fort Knox after 9-11- I couldn´t agree more. Out here they have ridicioulous rules as far as immigration ( the 24 year rule, 10 k´s as a bank guarantee and you have to prove that both you and your significant others ties to Denmark are stronger than the ties to the spouse´s homecountry etc), but this is close to being just as crazy.

Worst part is- We could´ve just filed for AOS after we got married, but we had no knowledge of it and if we did that I wouldn´t be able to work or go home to Europe and move out of my apartment etc (these d@mn responsibilities lol). At this point I start to regret we didnt take that option, but there is no need to beat myself in the head about it. What´s done is done.

Thank you, atleast I know what is ahead of ourselves. And the best part I get to see my husand again Feb. 11th in Paris. I last saw him when I was there just last month. We went almost a whole year not seeing each other except on web cameras when we chat. Not the same as seeing his wonderful handsome face in person.

Ahh, thats beautiful and Paris is a lovely and romantic place for marriage :). Thank God for webcams! lol

Last time I saw my husband was Feb 17 last year. Now we are planning for him to come out here, because this has taken waaaaay longer than we thought it would. We had hoped for a smooth visa process. All this saying goodbye in the airport was killin us inside so we figured we´d wait until we could be together for good.
