I agree...(hope my sarcasm was clear in my post)...but yeah some ppl don't have limits on what they make fun of. It's very classy...(again, using the sarcasm hehe).

yes they should have MRI machines that fit everybody but maybe everybody should make an effort to maintain a somewhat normal weight...

I am sure it wasn't malice, what are they suppose to do? And your right, they shouldn't be upset. 275 is pretty large, but I see on TV people that are much larger. But the bottom line is that not one size fits all. And I am sure it is not in their budget to purchase enough of this expensive equipment for the extremely obese. They should have been more understanding of that fact.

I just get annoyed that you can't use racial slurs on VJ, but the fat are an open target. I am far from perfect however, there is a particular member I think is a real cow, but it is more than just the womans size.

VJ values reflect society's values in general. Society looks down on the poor, the fat, the stupid, the deformed, etc. So does VJ. Can't blame VJ for that.

That is possible.

I do think though that in general (not specifically about this woman) things like hormonal imbalances are over-diagnosed and over-relied upon when the core root of the problem is often behavioural.

As to the statement that "machines should fit everybody" - it is reasonable to ask how much of a size range should be factored into the design of these machines so as not to accommodate the morbidly obese. 275lbs is heavy (especially at that height) but it isn't the heaviest I've heard of. There are people upwards of 400lbs.

There comes a point when common sense has to prevail and people have to realise that at a certain point they can't be practically accommodated.

Yeah, no machine (or airplane seat) will be made to fit everybody. That's just not realistic.
