I wanted to work at the cosmetic counter at HBC. It seemed so glamorous. Mind you I grew up in the NWT and my only exposure to big city life was the 2 trips per year to WEM, and always a stop at HBC.

WAIT. It is NOT???????? There goes my dream career :crying: :crying:

I nearly die every time I walk through HBC cosmetics and perfume section. I get like, no air, and I have to hold my breath to get through it. >_<

I'm not sure its as glamorous as I thought it was at the age of 5. Although, I could be wrong. I like all the pretty bottles and nice colors. It can stink to high heaven sometimes though.

I wanted to be a Clown.

Still kinda do... I love love love clowns.

I ended up in PR, so sometimes I still kind of feel like a clown.

Aww like in your picture!

Thats cute, most people are afraid of clowns. I am afraid of mimes... I guess thats a branch off from the clown family.

An astronaut,

an astronomer

a veterinarian

a writer

an artist ( I am but not to the professional level I once aspired)

a geneticist

an archaeologist

. . . I settled for museologist (and no, that isn't someone who plays an instrument! hehehehehe - I got asked that often).

oh - and for a while I wanted to be a geologist too - don't remember now where that fit into the 'schedule'.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I wanted to be a truck driver. I was on a camping trip with my family when I was real young. We had pulled off the road at a roadside rest area. My mom was making some food, and then I saw it.... The most beautiful piece of machinery EVER. This truck had flames airburshed on it, and it had a big cab on the back, and when my dad told me that it was a sleeping area, I was sold. I whined until my dad took me over to look at it closer. The guy who owned the truck was so cool and even let me look inside. I was even more impressed when I found out that it had like 20 gears.... our RV only had 4 gears so it must be faster. I think that lasted until I was about 10 years old.

Haha yes, I just realized I had my wanna be clown pic up!! I finally went to the Circus last year at Madison Square Garden and it was AMAZING! I am contemplating taking clown lessons and doing birthday parties on the weekend.... my sister called to hire one and they charge $185 for like 2 hours!!! It would be a good money maker.

I saw Top Gun when I was a kid and after that, I wanted to be a fighter pilot (or in the case of Maverick and Goose, a naval aviator). Unfortunately, I couldn't do it because part of the requirements include 20/20 vision. I may have that while wearing glasses, but there would always be the chance -- no matter how slim -- that I'd lose then when performing an aerial maneuver.
