Does anybody know why USCIS has not updated their processing times since November 18th???

Thank you!

We called up the USCIS before we got our NOA2, and they told us that they will update the site every 60 days or something like that. So, counting from Nov 18, which is the last update, you might want to wait till January 16 and check their site again to see if a new processing time has been up.

It's so darn frustrating this waiting game...but it will come.

Good luck! =)

God Bless!!!

I am sure of the fact the USCIS would declare the process timeline something aroung mid may, so that later filers will not complain...however, as of september 30 it is February 26, in that case, as of December 30 it should be June26. But, believe me, it will not happen.

the time line will be something like...

It's because they're the government and they can do whatever they want.

Then if you call them, they ask "did you look at the timeline on the website?"

Total waste of time and only serves to raise my blood pressure.

Meanwhile, we wait wait wait wait wait and are resigned to the fact that it may well be after our first wedding anniversary before she and my stepdaughter are allowed to come here. Instead, I'll just take trips to see them when I can afford it, since it only takes a week to get a visa to visit Russia.

At least we have a sense of humor about it. When it came time to get married, we were able to cut through the Russian red tape and arrange everything in the space of a month, rather than the 8 months that is standard. But here in the good old U S of A, land of the free.... we can't even get a straight answer out of them. My wife enjoys teasing me about this.

Hi all. I just ckd the VSC website and my 129f approved as of the 13 of Jan. sent in Sep 4 2008 so just over a 4 month wait! Not bad i guess they are improving thier times from some of the other posts I have read. Good luck all!

about the time line i am clueless on how one knows when thier paperwork is "touched" or anything else

Sep 4 , Notification of Receival

Jan 13 129f LOA sent to me

Now I am unsure of what happens from here. I read 60 days. If anyone has imput on the subject pls let me know. Thanks and good luck.....

KenandBev,

To see if your petition has been touched, you will have to create a customer account with your NOA1 number to check your case status online at USCIS's website. Once your logged in, you see see a "Last Updated" field; that date will reflect the last time someone has handled your petition. It won't change the status of your petition, though.

Good luck!

I had the same experience last week. The rep on the phone was saying, "Well, you know.... you're doing the right thing. This is the right thing." And was using this ridiculous, pedantic voice.

So I said, "Well, what would the wrong thing be?"

And she said, in the same voice, "You're going through the process to bring her here. You're doing the right thing."

Finally, I asked, "Lady, are you saying there is some other option??!"

"No, of course not."

I feel your pain. I'm there with you. I've given up calling them because it's useless. They have zero information to offer, and it's just a complete and utter waste of time, effort, and cell phone minutes, and when I hang up, I'm 10x more aggravated than when I called.

You would think that when the assigned a case number, they could then at least tell you "Yes, Mr X, we can tell you that currently there are XX cases ahead of yours, we average processing ZZ cases a week, and therefore anticipate being able to start working on your case on this date."

Nope. Instead we get nothing. Instead, we're told they don't have any information and we must wait.
