My case seems to have been approved! We got a message through email:

On January 13, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service.

Today Jan 14 it was touched again with the same status information. Hopefully the card is on the way!

Just to share this with you. I believe someone who has similar time frame should receive their approval soon too. Ours is VSC.

Mailed I-751 package - Jan 26, 2008

Received NOAs - Beg-Feb, 2008

Check cashed - Beg-Feb, 2008

Address change request - Dec 1, 2008

Case touched without status change - Dec 6, 2008

Card production ordered - Jan 13, 2009

Case touched again without status change - Jan 14, 2009

12/30/2008: Overnighted I-751 package to VSC

01/06/2009: Check cashed

01/06/2009: NOA (arrived 01/09/09)

01/23/2009: Biometrics appt letter received

01/31/2009: Biometrics scheduled

05/20/2009: APPROVED

06/23/2009: 10 Year Green Card arrived

:star: Congratulations, Wil for getting your 10yr Green Card!!! :star: What a good way to begin the New Year, indeed!

After such a long 11 months wait, you deserve it! It's good to know that the VSC is doing something, even if it takes a long time. Too bad though, you couldn't get a refund for the I-751, as you only have the 10yr card for a short time now.

Oh well, onto the next stage of citizenship for you, Wil!

Good luck too on your Citizenship application and the rest of your immigration journey!

A long waitfor 10 year GC... Now it is going to have another long wait for citizenship... We plan to apply it at the end of this month.
