Had my biometrics today....

I had my biometrics today. Everyone was right, it does only take 5 minutes!!!

The waiting area was packed, so I thought WOW this is going to take a long time, but I wasn't even done filling out the form, when she called my name. Me and some other applicants went into this other room. They took us one by one, to give fingerprints, and take the photo. They were very fast, there was hardly any talking. I had a few questions, but it seems like they were trying to rush us out of there.

I also had my son with me and at a certain point, in the middle of my fingerprinting, he started whining so i had to interrupt for a second and help him out. Then when I went back, she started with my other hand. Now I was a little distracted because of my son being there and asking for attention. But I could of sworn she forgot to do my ring finger and pinky. So I asked her about it "Are you sure you did those fingers?", she said yes and continued with my other hand. Then, I quickly had to sign this thing, she took my picture and within a minute she guided me to the door. I didn't like being rushed, and I'm worried she did forget 2 fingers. So what if that is the case, will I have to go back? When will they find out and will that delay my process? I so hope she was right. I think I already have a delay of 2 weeks, so I really don't want it take even longer.

And so now that happened, I wait for my EAD approval or interview appointment letter? Because it took about 1-2 weeks for me to send the reply of RFE back and for them to resume my case, does that mean I will have to wait 1-2 more weeks longer than the rest of the November filers?

And also, my biometrics was originally for Dec 26, because of the holidays, they moved it up with 2-3 weeks, to January 13th. Does that mean, that I will have to add another 2-3 weeks to my timeline? Do they count from the biometrics appointment or from the date on the NOA's?

the whole waiting time is very inaccurate, some september filers have their greencards, while some feb 2008 filers are still waiting...it's impossible to say and to ever know if going early to biometrics or an RFE have really affected your case....

just be glad it's all filed and you are in the process, on average you should be done around 4-6 months, so good luck, and congratulations on biometrics
