2 Year Green Card - - - Residency Requirement - - -

Appreciate your help to answer my below question...

I applied US Green Card for my hubby 7 months back.. Since we have gotten the 2 year card, we have stayed in States only for about 3 months.. With the Economy downhill in States, we are thinking of heading back to our home country (India) for some time.,,

My main concern is that is their a residency limit requirement for this 2 year green card ???? Can I live out of States for 2 year and apply for removing conditions???

Maintaining Permanent Residence You may lose your permanent residence status if you commit an act that makes you removable from the United States under the law in section 237 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
