i thought i got everything already.. my flight was booked 12th of january.. but unfortunately.. i didn't see the other note attached with the warning notice that i have to attend counseling.. and yeah.. it was embarrassing.. im a balikbayan in 4hours after stepping inside the airport! :( it was my fault

but i blame most of it to the one who packed the packet. it says warning do not open or attempt to open.. just check ur passport.. so all i did was i took my passport out and kept the packet, i didnt bother to take it out of the plastic. if only they did not attached the warning notice and they put it where it can be noticed easily.. there shud be no problems. (govt employees are always rude!! the travel tax ppol and the CFO guy/gay was very mean insyd the naia terminal 1!) so i already have the freaking sticker on my passport.. but i just want to make sure ill be able to leave tomorrow.. coz my fiance rebooked my flight for tomorrow.. pls let me know wat else are needed.. please!!!

I am not sure of your question.

But I always fold a 500 peso and put it my passport when I go thru govt. officials at the airport.

It seems to work wonders...

:D my flight is tomorrow.. i got the packet from the embassy, my passport with CFO sticker, visa, just waiting for the ticket confirmation on my email, my luggage, i want to be sure they'll let me get on the plane this time! thanks so much

Good morning! I was just reading this and could someone please tell me what a CFO Seminar is. I have not heard of this. Is this something that all need to do after they get their visa. Thanks so much. Lana and Costel

No, it's only applicable to the Phillipines.

I'm assuming that you didn't attend the CFO seminar before attempting to fly out. Since it appears you have now you should be good to go.

Assumption wrong

She states she has CFO and CFO sticker.

Ticket Confirmation.

In PI you can not buy a International Plane ticket unless you have a passport and a Visa in hand.

A lot of times, if someone buys a ticket online and the Petitioner is from another country, they want a email confirmation number in case of fraud.

That was where I got my assumption from. Therefore I assumed she went to counselling later and got the sticker.

ok.. :D me and my fiance checked everything online.. we never heard of CFO (commission on filipino overseas) counseling. when i received the visa packet there was this notice that says WARNING! in bold letters. and it says DO NOT OPEN, OR EVEN ATTEMPT TO OPEN, THE VISA PACKET OR YELLOW WNVELOPE. YOU MAY ONLY OPEN THE PLASTIC POUCH TO RETRIEVE YOUR PASSPORT. YOU WILL EXPERIENCE A SIGNIFICANT DELAY IF THE VISA PACKET OR YELLOW ENVELOPE IS TORN. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENPLANE OR YOU WILL ENCOUNTER DIFFICULTIES AT ANY UNITED STATES PORT OF ENTRY. so i just took my passport out.. kept the packet inside the bag so it'll be safe. i was scheduled to leave on the 12th of january.. then the guy at the airline counter said ma'am u need to pay the travel tax which is P1620 and the and i forgot the other fee but its for 750. so i went to the travel and tax counter and they said u go to the CFO counter. so i did and the guy was sooo mean. so yeah i didnt know about the counseling.. if ull take out the paper that says warning do not open there's another sheet of paper attached saying you have to attend the counseling.. so i went home. it was my fault i know, but they shudve put the other sheet of paper where it can be noticed. so i went home and had the counseling the next day. i jsut want to know if there are things that i still need to do or to have before i go to the airport tomorrow. i just want to make ill be on the plane and be with the guy ill spend the rest of my life with.
