how long you wait to call the embassy to schedule the interview?????

Hello!!!how long did you wait before you schedule your interview after the nvc sent the papers to the embassy??????????

I waited 2 weeks and then called. I was told to wait 2 more weeks but I plan to call after only one more week :)

Two weeks for us but that was before christmas so maybe things have slowed down now or we were lucky. I called after one week and was told to call back in 2 weeks but I called again the next week and got interview date. Good Luck

11/06/2008 hard copy of Noa2 arrived in mail

11/07/2008 case left NVC for Manila embassy

12/15/2008 passed medical yeppi

12/19/2008 set for interview

12/19/2008 approved at interview

01/14/2009 Flight to USA

01/14/2009 POE SFO

02/13/2009 Purchased Marriage License

02/18/2009 Married

03/31/2009 Filed AOS, EAD,AP

04/09/2009 Check cashed for AOS

04/09/2009 NOA for AOS EAD and AP

04/27/2009 Biometrics

05/11/2009 Adjustment of Status Approval Notice

06/06/2009 Green Card Received

I received a letter from the embassy that I am now legible for an interview and that I can call the call center to schedule. I am still awaiting for my fiance to file the affidavit of support coz his tax return should be current and such should have been in the mail January 31st. I didn't call for scheduling because of this and this leaves me wondering on when should I call. Is it best to wait till I get hold of the affidavit of support before calling? or Is it okay to call now and schedule ahead, say a month from now for an interview? If you can help me on this matter, please do respond to this. I'd truly appreciate good info on this.
