Asalam Alikoum/hello to everyone here!!!

I am so happy to see this discussion forum here. I didn't know there were specific ones to where you are and where your loved ones are. I am in Indiana, and my husband is in Morocco. I filed the I-130 after memorial day, and got the return receipt yesterday, alhomdulillah! I feel like I am making progress. I know I am anxious to get this NOA1, already!! I told my husband that we'll get it by the end of the month or the beginning of next month, Incha Allah. I guess we just wait now, yes? Can someone tell me how to do a timeline?

I also wanted to know what your/anyones opinion on this.... I have known my husband for 1 year, and couldn't afford to fly back and forth to meet with him prior to marrying him. We have been married since 4-20-2006. Honestly, the reason for my trip was to marry him. I had gathered all the information I needed, police record, verification letter for empolyment, all of the above. I had saved and saved for the trip, i could have taken a trip prior, but I wanted my daughter to be at the wedding party, so i used that money for her ticket. Does anyone think this will throw a monkey wrench in our process?

I had no idea that I would have to go through all of this when we started to talk about getting married, so in the beggining of our relationship, I wasn't keeping phone records or the bill to show how many times we talked, as far as evidence of a relationship goes. I have phone records now from as early as January that I can ask the phone company to send. Both cell and home, with bills totalling up to almost $800.... a month! We talk everyday, calling cards or not!!! I know, it's ridiculous! I can't help it. I need to talk to him. MSN ain't cuttin da mustard!!! I mean we do the webcam, and voice conversation, But we have very different work scheds. He works from 7p to 7a in Morocco. So when he gets off, most of you know its 2am here, Im sleeping!! Then wheh its time for me to go to work, he is asleep, so it just SUCKS!!!!

I actually just got a raise at work, and they told me yesterday, that the want to promaote me with another raise on top of that, as well. I f I had only had this fortune early on in the relationship, I would have been to Morocco, plenty of times by now. Luckily, I have 3 weeks off in Dec., and the 1st wek of January, so if my husband isnt here or close to being here, I will be going back for all of dec, and spend the new year with him, Incha Allah.

Also, when is the right time to file the AOS/I-485?? Do we have to wait for approval of either the I-130 or the I-129, or both???

SHOKRAN TO YOU ALL.

This website is so therapuetic!!!!

I love it!!!!

Timelines, anyone???? How do you do that? Even thoughI really dont have anything ot put there, yet.

Pray with me Forrest! Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here..... Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here!

'Wa aleykum Assalam, Welcome to the ME/NA forum. My name is Meriem. We are doing the fiance visa, so I am sorry I can not advise you on your process. To start a timeline, click on the "Immigration timeline" in the blue area at the top of the page. Then click on Edit/add timeline. This should get you started. You can put the date you sent you petition and the date you got your notice. It is a beginning to your timeline.

Congratulations on your raise. Inshallah, you will receive your promotion soon.

Good luck! I hope you have a smooth and easy journey.

Meriem (F)

Hi, I'm from Chicago. We are neigbors. Congrats on your receipt.

Also, when is the right time to file the AOS/I-485?? Do we have to wait for approval of either the I-130 or the I-129, or both???

YOu must wait for the I130 or the K3 to be approved and the packet delivered before you turn in the I485. If you have further questions, you can email me. Take care and good luck.
