Vancouver Embassy Interviews

Has anyone received any interview dates for the Vancouver Embassy lately? How many months ahead are they booking does anyone know? 3 - 4 months from now?

This may have changed, but when we interviewed, it was more like 4-5 weeks from when you returned your packet 3 until your interview (unless, like us, you requested a specific date after that time).

There are so few people here on VJ that have an interview in Vancouver, however I wouldn't think that their way of booking hasn't changed much. You'll get a package 3 from Vancouver, and once the checklist is faxed back to them, they seem to usually book about a month or 6 weeks after receiving that. You can request specific months or days of the week...of course there is no guarantee that you'll get them, but most people have been successful if requesting certain months. Personally, I sent back my checklist the first week of September, but didn't want an interview until mid November, and actually asked for a specific set of days in that week, and they obliged. I think it was far enough ahead that they had openings.

I was expecting a 1 month wait.

After I faxed back my checklist, I emailed them to make sure they received it. They informed me of a mistake I made on one of my forms, I fixed it, faxed it back and they emailed me a choice of 2 dates- I had my interview 9 days later. I could have picked a day earlier but the 9 days was enough of a rush to get everything together.

That was a total fluke.

Ours was only a month wait! Vancouver is pretty darn fast. Best wishes.
