i'm august too under background check :D

according to my thinking, i believe this doesnt take much time unless you have things to be checked more...i think we should be approved in a week or so, at least me we have nothing to be checked, no police records nothing...

We also don´t have anything. There is nothing to find out. I hope you are right. When I look at Igors list it just looks like they don´t approve people from August anymore, just if they had an RFE. But hopefully we can close this thread soon

We too are waiting in background checks as a late july/early august filer. Weren't sure what the holdup is until reading this. My sister applied for a secret clearance at about the same time as we petitioned and she hasn't heard anything about that either (her colleague received his months ago) ...or perhaps our issue is Jon got turned away at the border last June. Well, hoping to hear something in the next month or so!

Being allowed to withdraw your petition to enter the US should not be what holds you up in security checks. Happens to the best of us. ;)

It can literally be that a name is familiar to someone on a watch list. It's awful but many of us with no history of anything get held up all the time.

good luck folks. hope you hear something soon.

Hi. My husband is from the UK too and he got stuck in Security Checks back in his K-1 application days. We made it through and now we are working on his 10 year green card. The good news is, security checks were a breeze from there on out, however he gets majorly hassled at every port of entry ALL the time. But he has never been denied entry or anything.

I got denied on the visa waiver program in Dublin 2007. They never really gave me a reason why but the man at immigration said that because I had a boyfriend in the US it showed I had intent to be an illegal immigrant?!!! We didn't want to get married straight away because my mother was terminally ill so I wanted to be in the UK most of the time to be with her. We applied for a tourist visa because I just wanted to visit for a short time, however it was denied so I suppose that gives me another 'red flag'. Feels like it will take forever. :(

Something that might be funny about us is that one time returned from the US I forgot to return this green piece of paper. But when I visited the next time I handed in both! It could look kind of strange but when you think about it I didn´t do anything wrong. I never overstayed!

So maybe there is something funny with all of our cases and that´s why it takes longer.

My nightmare is that we´ll never get approved. Right now I still feel ok but I am already scared of the time a couple weeks, moths from now.

This will literally drive me crazy!

As we were told today that we are officially in security checks at the USCIS. I was wondering how many other people were out there stuck in them too!

This thread could give us all an idea how long we have to wait in security checks for our NA02.

OMG I FINALLY GOT APPROVED! XOOXOXO
