Good evening sweethearts!

I'm completely exhausted. All day handgun class. I passed! Yay!

I'm gonna read a little and then go to sleep.

Did anyone get approved today? I didn't notice. If anyone did, then congrats!!!

I haven't heard anything and no approval yet.

Everyone have a wonderful night :star:

 No, I'm not a cop! I couldn't even load my magazine today! The 2 instructors were doing it for me  I was not using my own gun (which would have been easier). I'm getting licensed to carry a handgun for protection. After our neighborhood was robbed by some delinquents, I decided to buy firearms and get licensed. I want to be able to carry it on me. If crime has spread to our neighborhood, then nowhere is safe! Not to mention I work in the "less desireable" part of the city so being able to carry it on me is better.

I NEED A HANDGUN !!!! Aren't you afraid of guns? HMMMM I'm not sure I could shoot someone ...it depends I guess.

My husband carries a gun and wears a bullet-proof vest for his job in Costa Rica. A few months ago, someone jumped him at 1am and took his gun and his vest. He didn't fight because he didn't want to get hurt. His employer made him pay for half of the stolen gun..... and in Costa Rica, that was very expensive. The Crime in Costa Rica is unbelieveable. IF I lived there I would probably have a gun.

My husband's house was robbed back in March when I was there for 20 days. Somebody was watching the house and knew I was there.( they think americans are rich) When we went to the grocery store one day, they came in and took everything. Even my passport. It was a huge pain in the A$$ to get a replacement in time to go home. Within 15 minutes of robbing the house they Charged $1500.00 on my one credit card and $500.00 on my debit card. Most of the $1500.00 was cash advances and gasoline.

An american friend happened to call right as the police were there and cancelled all my cards for me. After the card was cancelled there were about 12 -13 more attempts that were denied. Even chinese food. <_<

I would really love to dance with you baby...

For your information I just talked to a very nice representative at USCIS customer service. I wanted to share the overall impression of our conversation as I put in words here.......

USCIS representative: Wished me a good morning and uttered those regular queries

After finished

Me: Ok...Sir, I know my process is within the timeline as of the website and I also know u have the same information if I am not mistaken.

USCIS representative: YES!!!

Me: Is there anything else you can provide me with?

USCIS representative: No Mam.

Me: Do you have any idea when VSC gonna update their webpage.

USCIS representative:Actually...No MAM... (he rather answered in our voice, he is as annoyed as we are, atleast it sounded to be)

I got the floor now....

Me: Ok sir!! you sound very nice and decent to me, I really appriciate that, but do u think it is wise to make our spouses to live apart for long time like this?

USCIS representative:No Mam...

Me: (in a smiling requesting voice) Please convey our eagerness for the family reunion to the concerned authority, and that would be very nice of you.

USCIS representative: Of course Mam...that's why we are here...I understand ur situation and realize...

Me: Thank you so much for being so nice.

USCIS representative: Greeted me a good day with a smile.

BOTTOM LINE IS: NO UPDATE but had a feelings that there are some sweet ppl work in USCIS call center.....

Yes, I got some really nice reps yesterday. The second one I was transferred to actually wished me luck at the end of the phone call. She was very sincere... I thanked her for being so nice and for giving me the information I was calling for. I told her that the rep I had the day before was cold and seemed annoyed at the world. She apologized for how I was treated by the other rep.

So, We can't be mad at the people who answer the phones. I am sure VSC keeps them in the dark as well. I know I would feel terrible having to listen to desperate people calling everyday.

Oh BTW... I'm not locked out of the USCIS site anymore. No touches but at least I can check !!

Sonia,

There are some nice reps that work there. I talked to one who felt so bad for me she actually let me talk to an officer at VSC. She started off annoyed and a tad rude but ended up helping me with an inquiry(which told me NOTHING) heh

If you are decent and nice to them, they are nice back or the most part

patient persistence

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
