it is impossible on this issue ..currently..both parties need hispanics votes to win elections and neither want to loose the largest minority voting block in the usa

Both parties need them? Hardly - they all vote Democrat anyway.

If what you are saying is true,

What difference would it make if all, or a considerable percentage, of those Hispanics voting democrat would shift to the GOP?

100% true..the hispanic voters are now a political force and once, more organized they will determine allot of national and state wide elections////

I know... it's terrible and just wrong.

Learn to deal with it because we are not going away ;)

Could somebody read this thesis and give me a summary?

Thanks y'alls ;)

With one just simple word....MONEY!

Goes along with one of the ten best things Bush did, No Child Left Behind. Another law without funds to pay for it, our school districts had to hire tutors for most of these children that weren't even taught to speak English drastically increasing our tax bill. 20% as a matter of fact. But the additional cost in Medicade. The states are burdened with these expenses.

The inscription on the Statue of Liberty reads, that is no longer true in this country.

"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.

I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

But should read:

"Give me your well-rested, your wealthy,

Your elite few yearning to spend free,

The most fortunate of your hotel-dotted shore.

Send these, the ones with big mansions and expendable income to me.

I lift my lamp beside the golden door - Just make sure you fill out the proper paperwork"

If only the rich came here, this would not be an issue.

"Anchor Babies: Part of the Immigration-Related American Lexicon

The term “anchor baby” may be unfamiliar to most Americans but it succinctly describes a troubling aspect of American immigration.

An anchor baby is defined as an offspring of an illegal immigrant or other non-citizen, who under current legal interpretation becomes a United States citizen at birth. These children may instantly qualify for welfare and other state and local benefit programs. Additionally with the passage of the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act, the child may sponsor other family members for entry into the United States when he or she reaches the age of twenty-one

Kudos to them for at least mentioning that the "anchor baby" has to wait until reaching the age of 21 before he/she can do anything to help his/her parents. But what they omit is that it takes ten to fifteen years for a petition for a parent to turn into a visa, because the parent must wait for a visa number. If the parent had been in the US illegally for a year or more, there's a ten year bar on admissibility, with no waiver available.

So the baby has to turn 21, then they have to wait ten to fifteen years to apply for a visa, and the illegal immigrant parent must spend ten years outside of the US awaiting the expiration of the bar.

I don't know that many people who plan ahead so far. I doubt that the prospect of a possible green card some 35 to 45 years into the future is such a huge motivator.

I don't doubt that many people choose to have their babies in the US so that the child can have US Citizenship. But it's a stretch to think that a huge number of these people are actually turning it into an immigration benefit for themselves.

And of course, if it were a problem, Congress could easily eliminate the "anchor baby" possibility entirely without amending the Constitution, if Congress decided to. All they'd have to do would be to either eliminate petitioning for parents entirely, or make it a requirement that, when petitioning for parents, the petitioner include evidence that the parent was NOT inside the US illegally at the time the petitioner was born.

Not true,

The number of visas available for parents, as for spouses and minor children, of US citizens does not have a cap. This means that it takes around the same amount of time for a parent to get a green card than it would take for a foreign spouse. The same rules apply though, if he/she/they are illegally in the US, they will have to go back to their country of origin to start the application process.

They don't - parents of US citizens are immediate relatives as per INA 201(b), just like spouses and minor children.

You are right about the 10-year ban though.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
