Hi All,

I am filling out 129F form now and I have few questions I am not sure about. Sometimes it is only 1% that I am not sure, but I still want to check with you. Thank you in advance :)

(1) First of all, where to clarify (if at all) that I'll be with my fiancee at her home country during the whole process? Only in Section B question 18?

(2) Section A, question 2: My address. Do I put my current address (fiancee's / non US) or my US address?

(3) Section A, question 7: Other Names Used. Do I put "none"?

(4) Section A, quest. 8b: "A# (if any)". A# is a greencard number? Since I was naturalized, do I have to find that number and put it there? I have no copies of greencard left, is that information somewhere in my US passport?

(5) Section A, quest 9: Names of Prior Spouses: Do I put "none" or "n/a"?

(6) Sect A, quest 10: US citizenship acquired through... under "Parent" checkbox there's "Have you obtained a certificate of citizenship in your name?" question - it applies to "Parent" checkbox only? I.e. I should not put anything there?

(7) Sect B, questions 8-9: SS# and A# for fiancee - put "none" or "n/a"?

(8) Sect B, quest 11: Have she been in US? Yes, if she visited as a tourist, right?

(9) Sect B, quest 12: Currently in US? "n/a" right? Leave other boxes blank? (I-94 number, etc).

(10) Sect B, quest 13: Children: put "none", right?

(11) Sect B, quest 15: fiancee's address abroad: The same address as in Sect B/question 2 - right?

(12) Sect B, quest 17: Related to you? "No" and leave explanation field empty, right?

(13) Sect B, quest 18: In explanation field put "please see attachment" or there's another standard phrase that I can use?

(14) Sect C: "n/a" in both fields, right?

(15) Sect D: Day Phone Number: Should I put US address phone number (I won't be there) or Ukrainian cell phone number with all the dial codes?

(16) Documentary Proof of Ongoing relationship. Should I translate and certify documents such as internet provider bills (in my name in fiancee's country), car insurance (same story), tech passport (in her name, but me listed as a driver), etc, etc?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hello, well for all the questions where "none" is your answer, you should put N/A. A#...if you were naturalized then u should have a SS# so write that where they ask for SS# leave A# empty since you are now identified by your SS#. addresses... if i remember the form correctly they ask you to write all addresses in past 5 years from past to current. current being your fiance's address if you are leaving soon. phone number you list the one they can reach you at. you can also write a statement explaining to them you will be staying abroad at your fiance's address while you are awaiting thier decision and that you are keeping your residence in US. make sure you have the statement norterized. I would also inform them to forward any letters to you at her address otherwise they will go to your address back home and you will miss them. hope this helps some. I too am living abroad with my fiance while we wait it out. Good luck to you!

Also... Please see attachment..is correct phrase to use. just remember anytime you are stating a fact it helps to have it noterized. ;)

and YES translate any supporting documents that can help your case.

First of all, Thank you!

Second, regarding addresses - you are referring to form G-325A. SPEAKING OF WHICH, where does it state that I should file it? I am going to file it, but I don't recall seeing it anywhere on official site that I should file it. What did I miss?

(1) First of all, where to clarify (if at all) that I'll be with my fiancee at her home country during the whole process? Only in Section B question 18?

You don´t have to say that at all.

(2) Section A, question 2: My address. Do I put my current address (fiancee's / non US) or my US address?

Do you have anyone to receive the NOAs for you at your US address? ´Cus one of the members had a problem with USCIS sending the correspondence abroad, although I think others haven´t. You might wanna browse around to find such members.

(3) Section A, question 7: Other Names Used. Do I put "none"?

Yes, put NONE there.

(4) Section A, quest. 8b: "A# (if any)". A# is a greencard number? Since I was naturalized, do I have to find that number and put it there? I have no copies of greencard left, is that information somewhere in my US passport?

A# is an alien registration number, which will be given to your fiancee in her visa for her to use in US for different things. If you were naturalized you´ll mark the square corresponding and put your naturalization certificate number where asked.

(5) Section A, quest 9: Names of Prior Spouses: Do I put "none" or "n/a"?

You put NONE there (USCIS doesn´t like us to use N/A unless it REALLY doesn´t apply.

(6) Sect A, quest 10: US citizenship acquired through... under "Parent" checkbox there's "Have you obtained a certificate of citizenship in your name?" question - it applies to "Parent" checkbox only? I.e. I should not put anything there?

Here I think it applies to anyone who wasn´t a citizen and became one. In such a case you´ll have your citizenship certificate and will have a number to put here. The "parent" box is for the case of your citizenship being acquired ´cus you´re a son of americans even though you weren´t born in the US.

(7) Sect B, questions 8-9: SS# and A# for fiancee - put "none" or "n/a"?

You put NONE for both as she hasn´t gotten either yet. She´ll have an A# when she gets her visa and an SS# once she´s in US and applies for it.

(8) Sect B, quest 11: Have she been in US? Yes, if she visited as a tourist, right?

You put yes if she´s been there under any visas or circustances.

(9) Sect B, quest 12: Currently in US? "n/a" right? Leave other boxes blank? (I-94 number, etc).

You put N/A there if she´s not in US at the moment of filing. You may leave the rest blank.

(10) Sect B, quest 13: Children: put "none", right?

If she has no children (yours or someone elses) you put NONE.

(11) Sect B, quest 15: fiancee's address abroad: The same address as in Sect B/question 2 - right?

You just put where she lives.

(12) Sect B, quest 17: Related to you? "No" and leave explanation field empty, right?

I put N/A here, dunno about others.

(13) Sect B, quest 18: In explanation field put "please see attachment" or there's another standard phrase that I can use

I put answer attached, others used see attachment, you choose what´s fit here.

(14) Sect C: "n/a" in both fields, right?

Right. N/A.

(15) Sect D: Day Phone Number: Should I put US address phone number (I won't be there) or Ukrainian cell phone number with all the dial codes?

You put the number they´d be able to reach you, with everything needed to call you, area codes, etc.

(16) Documentary Proof of Ongoing relationship. Should I translate and certify documents such as internet provider bills (in my name in fiancee's country), car insurance (same story), tech passport (in her name, but me listed as a driver), etc, etc?

Any proof you plan to submitt that is not in English must be translated, and you should send both a copy of the original and the original translation (translations can´t be copies). You may translate yourself if you put a note saying you´re apt to do this translation ´cus you speak both languages and sign it. Or you can get a certified translator (which will have more weight).

SPEAKING OF WHICH, where does it state that I should file it? I am going to file it, but I don't recall seeing it anywhere on official site that I should file it. What did I miss?

For starters, check out this site's K1 Guide:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...om&page=k1guide

and then if you want official confirmation, here's a link to similar information on the USCIS site:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...om&page=k1guide

Bottom line, both you and your fiancee will have to fill out a form G-325A as part of the K1 package.

Yes, I do, but I would prefer them to send it directly here. What kind of mail services they use? Plain USPS or FedEx or what? If it is the first, I'll have them send stuff to my US address...

PS Thanks for all the answers! :)

(15) Sect D: Day Phone Number: Should I put US address phone number (I won't be there) or Ukrainian cell phone number with all the dial codes?

You put the number they´d be able to reach you, with everything needed to call you, area codes, etc.

Please remind me what one need to dial in order to get OUT of US? 011? Thanks!

(1) First of all, where to clarify (if at all) that I'll be with my fiancee at her home country during the whole process? Only in Section B question 18?

I would just use Q 18 to establish this. As you are residing together presently, anything that can show this, is evidence of having met within the required two year period as well as evidence of ongoing bonafide relationship.

(2) Section A, question 2: My address. Do I put my current address (fiancee's / non US) or my US address?

Personally I would us a US address (family member or friend) where all correspondence can be sent. Q2 is what is entered into the system as the mailing address....it does not have to be the present address of residence.

(4) Section A, quest. 8b: "A# (if any)". A# is a greencard number? Since I was naturalized, do I have to find that number and put it there? I have no copies of greencard left, is that information somewhere in my US passport?

Unknown would also a suitable answer.

(6) Sect A, quest 10: US citizenship acquired through... under "Parent" checkbox there's "Have you obtained a certificate of citizenship in your name?" question - it applies to "Parent" checkbox only? I.e. I should not put anything there?

There is only 3 answers to that question using the check boxes.....Birth in US, Naturalization, Parents. If Birth in the US, that question has been answered and all other boxes can be left blank. If Naturalization, one also puts the certificate number etc....then the question has been answered. If Parents, then the other boxes below it need to be completed.

(7) Sect B, questions 8-9: SS# and A# for fiancee - put "none" or "n/a"?

SS# could be answered either way. We put N/A for out I-130. A# can either be answered 'none' or 'unknown' as your fiance will be assigned many an A# during this process.

(12) Sect B, quest 17: Related to you? "No" and leave explanation field empty, right?

Correct as there is nothing to explain

(15) Sect D: Day Phone Number: Should I put US address phone number (I won't be there) or Ukrainian cell phone number with all the dial codes?

I would use a US phone number.....same as the for US address used for mailing.

(16) Documentary Proof of Ongoing relationship. Should I translate and certify documents such as internet provider bills (in my name in fiancee's country), car insurance (same story), tech passport (in her name, but me listed as a driver), etc, etc?

Reads like good evidence of having met within the required two year period which is a requirement of the I-129F, so yes have anything you want to submit translated that is going to assist in showing this.

OK, I am leaning toward putting my US address. I'll put US address also on my Cover Letter and Letter of Intent. But now I worry that they will think that I am trying to confuse them - saying that I am living with my fiancee in her home country (which I am), but putting US address on all the forms. Ugh!
