Champi,

Dont worry as long as you dont have to face ahmedabad passport office for pcc you wont have much of an problem. There are so many comments regarding PCC is because people working at ahmedabad passport office are jerk and arent aware of new NVC process.

I second WaitHatter's comments whole heartedly. The Ahmedabad passport office seems to have their own rules, and aren't willing to update their processes with the new NVC process, nor do they care to listen. If you are not dealing with this specific office, you are very lucky!!!

My wife went to the local police station in Anand and she couldn't get a PCC their either. I'm pretty sure after reading the site that if her passport was issued within 6 months she doesn't need to get PCC from passport office, only the local police station. Even those guys are being dicks and giving her the run around...I friggin hate Indian Officials...all them bastards are corrupt up the @$$...they made her wait 1.5 hours to just find out information on the PCC and they said they couldn't issue it too her...

Vishal,

You cant get interview letter until NVC recieve all the documents and your case is completed. Take AOS bill, DS230 letter with barcode, checklist(packet3) from mumbai consulate website, NOA2, and I-130 packet. Hopefully they will accept this documents.

Good luck!

I totally agree with you!!! My wife went through samething with passport office in ahmedabad. At times I felt like going there kick those MF a$$. And worst thing is they dont even answer there damm phones when we call. We all need to get together and do something about it so other people who are still waiting wont face the same issue as we did.

guys am back from the visa office today.often we percieve the problem too hard to overlook other boulders lying on the way...well first of all thanks to this forum...i indeed got help from someone from my city who whole heartedly offered to help me.....

my experience today...

started in morning seven am to reach visa office at ten am.the guards checked the documents(i dont know how legimate thats suppose to be).once they okayed it,i was asked to sit in a line with others.the official documentchecker then began checking the documents.he was friendly( a welcome respite).surprisingly he did not seem to have any problems with my documents...and he also did not mention about getting my local pcc attested from someone in gandhinagar.(i guess with elections declared they might have thought of overlooking such frills).the documents attached were according to what waithatter has suggested.also carry the entire letter of ds230 including the pages mentioning how to contact nvc.they r just concerned with number of pages.on showing the barcode letter he asked me....where r the other three sheets and envelope?grrrrrrrrrrr....

my spouses name is not mentioned in my passport and he asked me to get it done and after that my process to pcc shall begin.so on monday i shall go again to submit all the formalities .

after that i shall apply for my pcc.

NOTE:guys please dont go after lunch hours to submit any kind of forms.they do not accept it whatsoever.i was not conveyed this information and its no where mentioned on the website.
