Preparing for Interview

I feel you. That happened to me two days ago when i was preparing everything for his interview. I saw old pictures and old letters and old :) promises. Love to compile everything for him so he will remember. We've known each other for 14 years and we've been married and yet apart for 6 years. Just like what you've said we've been married for 6 years and yet it feels like it's just about to start. When friends and family ask me about his petition, I always say "I will finally be married".

I hope everything will go well to your interview. Good luck and be very happy.

Hi Jonah VD,

well i thought i have the worst situation here. How were you able to keep the marriage going for 6 years, being apart? I could not imagine myself being married for 6 years in a long distance relationship! But I'm glad to see that you will be having your interview soon and you will be with him already. Good luck and i know that this is going to be a great year for all of us!!!

Maintaining a 6 years long distance relationship is very hard, the hardest thing that you could imagine. So many trials, so many sacrifices and yet we remained strong. There were times that both of us almost gave up. We love to plan ahead but the visa process and the long wait killed our hope to be together. But just like ryandgracey, we reminisce to get back on track. Going back in time made us realize why we married each other. God is great, it always happen that when I’m weak my husband remains strong and so as I. Like I said it's the friendship we had and of course our son that kept us together.

We talk a lot, although most of the time we run out of things to talk about. Especially my life here in the US is somewhat boring and very routine. I also try to visit him almost every year and stayed for a month or two. This made him feel secured that I do want to be with him and I love him.

Oh well our visa journey will be over soon but our married life will just about to start. It is scary. :)

Hi!

I don't know if anyone of you experienced this. I was fixing the pictures that I will present on my interview next week and suddenly I felt like crying. I've known my husband for almost 11 years now. We've been in a relationship for 5 years when he moved to US then we're married for 2 years now. I've been looking at our pictures together from high school, college and then his most recent vacation here. I couldn't believe that we're almost at the finish line (that's how he quote this whole ordeal). I am so excited right now. He is also. We've been chatting often now since I just resigned from work and I have more time to go online. We thought we won't be able to see this day coming. But we are almost there and it is such a great relief. I know that the interview is going to be great next week. No worries from us although i'm a bit anxious to get this over with. Please pray for us because it's been so hard for us being away for 5 years and even going into a long distance marriage. I even told my hubby awhile ago, "you know what, I'm ready to spend a lifetime with you." It's weird because we've been married for 2 years now and it was just awhile ago that I feel we are just going to start a new life together.

hi there yna.Its really amazing how preparing for interview esp me on Feb 13 for k1 could bring back all the wonderful memories how I fell In love with my future husband and youre right..I was reading all our emails how we first started getting to know each other and the pictures when he was still here and when he went back in Florida last year and now were almost here on the final process of our visa journey.I still cry and cry everytime i read our emails together and our pictures ..Its NOT EASY BEING AWAY FROM HIM FOR 8 months na but I KNOW THAT GOD TAKE CARE AND BLESS THOSE PEOPLE WHO KNOWS HOW TO WAIT. I REALIZED THAT THE BEST THING IN A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP IS THE WAITING TIME--COZ ITS A SURE REWARD OF LIFETIME OF BEING TOGETHER WITH OUR SOULMATE....I LONGED FOR THE DAY I WILL BE WITH MY FUTURE HUSBAND NEXT MONTH. My long wait is going to be finally Over soon..

Godbless
