I had tried calling for the interview date several times but they wouldn't give it to me, so my wife called and got a male operator and he gave it right to her no problem hehehe go figure.

My husband tried as well and was told to call back the third week of March. He said the operator didn't seem too willing to give out much info. We will try again this week as well. Maybe we will get lucky.

Hmm...I think I'll get my husband to try and call next week and then if he has no luck, maybe I'll call! :) If they're giving them out so "freely" I'm totally going to keep trying! Doesn't hurt when our case is already complete right?!?!?! :)

P.S. AVR states case complete, just my added 'confirmation' it's true!

If they gave you the time then you need to call them for the DATES, call NVC. Usually they will give you the DATE and the time, if they gave you the date and NO TIME then plan to be therer 1st thing in the morning. Call NVC... and goodluck and congrats that you received the e mailed.

It looks like Canada (more specifically Montreal) is receiving crazy amounts of petitions/approvals. I heard it's at least 3 months before you even get an interview!!! I'm going to try and call NVC (currently in que to speak with an operator!) and find out. Updates of course to come! :)

Well that was quick....and the update is......... (i will summarize! :))

"Unfortunately you did not receive a March interview due to the heavy amounts of petitions accepted in Montreal embassy...yadda yadda....Typically interviews are scheduled within the first two weeks of the month, but we cannot give you an approximate date as to when your interview will be scheduled."

(So I ask so call back in a couple of weeks to see if I hopefully received an April interview?"

"Yes ma'am. I would say call back in the third week of March to see if you possibly got an April interview. You might receive one, but again, we cannot guarantee it."

She was super nice! Ok so now I'm totally hoping & praying for an April interview! That's a month away :) I can do that! If not.....I mean I'm already this far, but it IS dreadful waiting....

My husband was told the same thing last week :( Unfortunately I'm thinking that those of us waiting for Montreal are probably looking at May.

Yeah...that's what I figured! But even though it'll suck just sitting around and waiting, it's SO nice to know like Peter'n'Jamie said that we're not waiting for USCIS anymore (or even NVC for that matter)! We're pretty much finished and it's just one last step. I think I can handle that!

May really isn't that far off. :) I wasn't expecting any of the scheduling to begin until the second or third week of March It was just a bit disappointing after the flurry of interview dates unexpectedly being scheduled last week. I find the ups and downs of this process to be the most difficult to handle. On a positive note the drive to Montreal should be clear by then!
