WaitHatter - Definitely see if the mumbai consulate will request your case since its already complete and you have time for the K3 interview. Are you planing on going to the interview? If your wife does the K3 interview will she go back for her CR-1 interview?

Yeah the procedures in Ahmedabad are so out of synch with the rest of the other offices. I am dealing with a tax collector who says he does not have the authority to sign a police document, meanwhile his head office in Gandhinagar is telling him to sign it, and the tax collector won't do it until he sees something in writing. I swear these people need to be relieved of their duties, since they add no value. I will most likely miss the interview scheduling for April since the two local PCCs have not been signed off on yet, and it takes another 4 days for the passport office to issue their PCC.

Ya man I tell you. I wish there was something we could do to help others out who are still waiting for there approval and nvc process so they dont have to go through what we went through. It seems like every week they ask for some kind of different document to people who tries to get pcc at passport office. I hope you get this sorted out as soon as possible and get out of this mess.

Yes, I will personally call mumbai consulate tonite to request them to request my CR1 file from NVC instead of e-mailing them. I will go as far I can to get my file from NVC to mumbai consulate because it would be pain in butt just to wait for another 2 months before my wife can come.

Wish you best of luck and keep me updated!

You guys will never believe this....we over nighted our RFE I-864 package to NVC and they just received it. Then I go and check the AVR and it says that they're requesting MORE information!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a total meltdown........so much for an April interview at this rate.......

Seriously my husband and my father-in-law have the same names, except different middle names. I really feel like they're screwing up with both of their information. My husband didn't have to file for taxes b/c he was in school, so we proved why, proved he was in school, and proved his dad claimed him for all 3 years. Anyways, my father in law makes way over the poverty line so we're good to go financially with him as our 'support'.

I sent in SO much information. Another RFE? I'm like a case out of history, this never happens with NVC :(

Any light to shine on this guys?!??! :clock:

....by the way, do you think speaking with an operator or a supervisor will help? I have a strong feeling they've mixed up hubby & father in law's info....

thank you lovehappenss! I needed to hear that! I just don't understand what MORE they could need. Seriously I sent in an ####### amount of information so that we wouldn't get an RFE! I keep trying to call the NVC but it's busy and I never speak with an operator....I will keep on trying, I'm just SO worried that this will put us way behind now! @ MOOSKER,

Yes you can talk to the NVC operator about your case and make sure try to be nice to them and not argue. And if possible ask the operator if you can talk to the Supervisor and see what's going on. Goodluck!

Moosker try to breathe it might be nothing. I got an RFE and called NVC found out what was wrong, corrected it and the NVC had the corrected documents in hand the next day by noon. However when I called the next day, the system said I had another RFE for that day. So it sounded like I had 2 RFEs in 2 days! I called NVC and it turned out to be one. I am not sure why the system did that the only thing I can think of is they put in the system that there was an RFE and then mailed it out the next day and made it look like an RFE.

Thanks everyone! You guys are total life savers....making me just breathe & relax :)

It gets a bit frustrating when you think "I just sent it all in and now another RFE?" Sometimes NVC has their A game on, sometimes not so much!

Well, a little update here (and I think AVR messages should be changed to not cause furthur confusion) but I called NVC and spoke with an operator. I told her "we sent in our I-864 RFE package and today the AVR is telling me I have another RFE! Can you please clarify that for me so I can prepare for what documents are needed?"

And she says..."Oh that message is up there because we haven't had time to go through the papers yet. We just got it yesterday! So that just means give it a few weeks...."

Phew! So I said thank you sooo much and she kinda laughed and said 'thank you for calling!" :) Finally I got a nice lady!

Thanks guys....I'll keep praying for a Case Complete in a few weeks!!!!

OK, our fee bills are paid and we had the AVR message for that. Next we mailed the DS-230 and I-864. and NVC received them. Now the AVR has a message that just says an instruction package will be mailed to you in the next 2 weeks. What is this? Is it a case complete and the instructions is the interview letter? Or is it a message referring to the generation of the DS-230? I am confused since the package has been received already. Anyone have an idea what it might be?

Most likely just the standard reply because your fees have been paid and they are sending out the hard copy of the forms. We received our hard copy of the DS230 after our case was completed. Don't worry about it. You can confirm with an operator that they have scanned the DS-230 and I-864 into the sysytem. Good luck!
