Thanks 'lovehappenss'!!!! I have to call. I know with all my heart we sent in that information. I will call NVC and speak with an operator just to get additional information. The RFE sheet is a little vague!

You think there's still hope for an April interview for us?!?! :)

Ok so....as I dig deeper and I talked to the NVC operator (I jerk I might add!) this is what I found out....

-My husband was NOT required to file taxes from 2005 to 2008 because he was attending college full time. His father claimed him on his own taxes.

-His father filled out the I-864A (to allow us to be over the income necessary), my husband filled out the I-864

-The RFE is asking for 2007 taxes, and a letter proving why hubby did not file

- I sent in something from the IRS stating WHY he did not!

My questions are....what more evidence do they need? I'm just a little confused here about it all.

I printed off a page from a specific irs. gov publication stating that a student whose parent claims them does NOT need to file. That's what I sent them along with a letter.

Any help here? What more can I give them? Hubby does NOT have 2007 income tax. Do I need to prove that in a letter?!!??! I thought I already did, but NVC obviously didn't figure that out....

Help VJ'ers! :help:

Moosker - i'm also hoping for an april interview! (: yeah NVC totally skipped over the I-864A and said it was missing. so i asked the operator to have one of the supervisors review it so i won't have to re-send the papers (: good luck with it though! (:

A & R - NVC operators are told by their supervisors to NOT give out the IIN. i asked about a million times and they wouldn't give it to me, so i just waited it out. it came in the mail a few days later though.

thanks "lovehappens" guess I've waited this long....won't kill me to wait longer....but it still STINKS

Do you know what day it was mailed out? It shouldn't take too long to get to the US petitoner in the mail (as long as you filled out the DS-3032 saying to send stuff to them) and then you can pay online and everything is speedy again!

lovehappenss - is your case almost complete or are you tentatively waiting for an rfe? (crossing my fingers you won't have to have one!) i really hope ours won't slow us down too much. i don't want to wait until may to have an interview though! april is just SO close! :)

A&R - you'll get it soon! i was so fed up with a constant busy signal i told myself I'd just have to wait for it to come in the mail. it came really, really quick. so keep tabs on your waiting time and definitely do NOT wait any more than two weeks! good luck!

It took me 14 days from the NVC to get me the AOS bill to send my IV package but now I just waiting for them to review our case. I did send it PRIORITY to buy some time, my wife sent me the PCC from Cebu, but she was able to scan and e mailed me a copy and I printed that out. If they asked for the original I guess I am screwed but within few days the Original PCC will be here. I guess we all looking at APRIL too.

That sucks, only if you didn't have that RFE, you'd possibly have a March date
