hey guys, got a quick question. Does the NVC work over the weekend? I know we can't talk to an operator over the weekend, but do they have case updates or anything over the weekends?

Haha I was wondering about the same thing. Does anybody know?

As far as I know they don't work on weekened, as a amtter of fact they have LIFE too after NVC...hehehe! And of course if they don't work on the weekened, you will not get any operator, just the AVR.

Well you never know. It says on the AVR Monday - Friday but could be they had people working overtime on the weekends if they are behind on their casework.

Ya that's what I was thinking, they have no operators at that time but maybe people still work on the cases and only the AVR is updated??? It's highly unlikely, but if someone got a new AVR over the weekend, then its true :)

Quick question....I don't know if NVC has 'officially' received my I-864 package yet. On the AVR system it states that they're waiting for me to send in the DS-230 package. I'm taking that as they've already received the prior package and moving onto the next step, but I'm not sure.

Anyone else have a similar situation/know the answer? :reading:

As I understand it I-864 goes to the US citizen and the DS-230 to the beneficiary so it's two different paths. If you've paid both fee bills then you can send the DS-230.

No what I meant is... We've already sent in the I-864 package. I never heard the AVR say anything about "we've received it". That's what I'm wondering! Now the AVR says that they're waiting for the DS-230 package from me. Super! We're moving along...but does that mean they have ALREADY received the I-864 package?

I think they probably did receive the I-864 package but now they just wait for DS-230 package to go further with the case, that is what i assume. Because normally, when they receive I-864 package and not DS-230 yet, it will say there is the missing documents. Just wait til tomorrow and give NVC a call and ask the operator if they really received it.

Hope your case get completed soon. :)

I understand what you're saying but it's not THE NEXT STEP as you put. They're two different paths. Call them tomorrow and make sure they've received it but you could have send I-864 and DS-230 at the same time if you wanted to.

Similar thing happened to me. After I send in my AOS package the AVR said they received a package 3 days after I actually sent it, but by then my IV fee was also generated, so the AVR changed soon to IV bill generated. They never said whether my AOS was reviewed completely or not. I am pretty sure your AOS was received and is fine. If it wasn't the AVR would have said that documents are missing.

But to be 100% sure, call and talk to an operator tomorrow.

Our AVR recording was up dated over the weekend. I checked it on Saturday afternoon Philippine time which is Friday night in the US. and then again on Monday morning Philippine time which is Sunday night US time and the message had updated from our case number assigned to our DS 3032 and AOS bill has been generated. We had emailed our 3032 on the 3rd and I called a live operator also when they opened this morning (Monday US time) and the operator told me the 3032 was received so some one had to be working over the weekend.
