we have been waiting almost a year and a half

i hope you hear something soon. did you ever receive any information about your application for the expedite?

yes they wrote that our back ground check is still open so they can not proceed with our expedite until that is satisfied my question is how long does it take to check the back ground of a women that is 21 and a man that has spent his life in school to be a doctor and then just working as a doctor cant be someone so hard if they only have a couple of addresses to check

just imagine if we had any kind of criminal reports we prolly would not get out of the system for ten years

our attorney tells us they have not lost our case if they did they would say so and we could refile but i can not think of any other reason for this to take so long, so i believe at least at one point we were lost in the system.

sara

the background checks don't make any sense at all. "misplacing" your file is the only logical explanation for how long this has taken and i'm so sorry that things have turned out this way for you. i hope that they are a bit more careful with your file now and that you hear something very soon! :)

thankyou very much i only have one deep concern, IF and When we ever make it to interview stage of this mess, i have not seen perviz in two years i cant go now because of medical reasons i fear they will hold this against us.

well, cross that bridge when you get to it. if you tell them that when you applied you thought it would take 9 months or less, as that is the time the uscis quote, and provide evidence of the medical reasons along with all your requests from your congressman/senator for the expedite, i'm sure they'd have to take that into account.
