Yes. Our NOA was dated Sept 07 and we got approved Sept 08. And still waiting for case to be transfered from USCIS to NVC. Its been 4+ months. I probably would have reached faster if i had walked with the case from destination 1 to 2

You may include me on that. My fiance filed our case last June 25, 2008, got our NOA1 after 5 days. But then after that, nothing. No touches at all. Been waiting for almost 7 months. I've tried to check our case number on the USCIS website and all it says up to now is "CASE RECEIVED and PENDING". He even went to the local office and talked to someone which unfortunately didn't gave a positive reply to him. Says we have to wait on the month of this year where we filed the case, wait for six months again :o. Still, we wait, and apparently that's the best thing that we can do for now and to pray earnestly about it.

Our application were sent last week of June and was transferred to CSC. The last time we had an update was the check were encashed and we never even got a hard copy of NOA1 until my fiance made efforts to follow up last November only to be informed that they mailed him an RFE which he didn't received. They mailed the RFE and we replied January. Our status now is that they got our responce and case processing resumed. Currently waiting for a positive result. It's been hard to undergo all the trials and delay but we look at it in a positive way that made us both stronger..... (L)

What was the reason for denial, you seem to had all your bases covered? Amazing that there are people on here who have been waiting over a year for their NOA2.

we have been waiting almost a year and a half

i hope you hear something soon. did you ever receive any information about your application for the expedite?

yes they wrote that our back ground check is still open so they can not proceed with our expedite until that is satisfied my question is how long does it take to check the back ground of a women that is 21 and a man that has spent his life in school to be a doctor and then just working as a doctor cant be someone so hard if they only have a couple of addresses to check

just imagine if we had any kind of criminal reports we prolly would not get out of the system for ten years

our attorney tells us they have not lost our case if they did they would say so and we could refile but i can not think of any other reason for this to take so long, so i believe at least at one point we were lost in the system.

the background checks don't make any sense at all. "misplacing" your file is the only logical explanation for how long this has taken and i'm so sorry that things have turned out this way for you. i hope that they are a bit more careful with your file now and that you hear something very soon! :)
