1st time responder....long time reader....

Ling and I are/were K-3....she had her interview 123008....white.....non bona fide relationship....

following day at the hotel she "heard" of 300 applicants that day, 200 were denied.....do not know details beyond that....could have been immigrant applicants as well....

her interview is posted on Candle under the results forum.....

i have ticket in hand for trip early Feb including a sidetrip to GUZ.....ACH on the 9th.....am intrigued to read a common recommendation here is hire local attorney, petition to keep file at GUZ, submit responding evidence in an effort to reverse decision? this option is completely new to me. would appreciate being pointed in right direction for information on this.....

as for my fellow participants in this, keep the faith.....do your homework....READ and listen......

Yes, you want to act quickly to keep the the denial there at the consulate. This is what i have read is of the upmost importance..do not give them a chance to return the packet to the states!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.
