A really weird touch for my I-751...

So I Submitted my I-751 mid Oct, did the biometrics late Nov, and when I check online to see when my "CRI89" was last updated, it shows late Nov. Weird thing is, today, I go to check, and the CRI89 update hasn't changed, but oddly, my I90 that was done back in August of 07 was touched! Thing is, I recieved my GC a couple months after filing the I90, so that case shouldn't be active... Anyone with insight?

And for more detail, the I90 was filed becuase I never recieved my 2 year GC in the first place (I'm STILL fuming for having to pay $600+ for a GC that I never lost becuase I never recieved it!!!!).

So why the touch???

Even weirder, the touch was dated 1/11/09, which is a Sunday... they don't work Sundays...

My 485 file was touched shortly after I submitted my I-751 - no touches since then. I assume they either matched up information or else permanently 'filed' the I-495 since the next stage was now in progress. Perhaps that is what they have done for your files as well - either scenario.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

The government, including immigration, frequently works overtime when behind on things. I have worked in the government contracts department of a large manufacturing company for almost 10 years and know this from experience because I deal with the Federal government daily.

A lot of people on here (not saying you) want to scream that the government doesn't care, doesn't do anything right, etc. These people do work hard, probably for a lot less money than they would make in the private sector, and yes, they do work overtime even on weekends, usually for no pay since they are salary. Yes, they are human and make mistakes - don't we all?

It sounds like maybe in the process of working on your I751 application they found the mistakes made previously and fixed them. Wouldn't it be ironic if you got a 2 year greencard in the mail now?

I've tried not to come here too much this past year and think about other things, even though my husband has been temp at his job for over 6 months now and a real live green card instead of a stamp in a passport or even the letter would sure make me feel a lot better about his odds of going permanent. Hopefully we'll see something in The next 6 weeks since they got our application last April.
