Hi all! I 've been severly MIA, holidays, real estate market..yadda ydda. My Interview is this Thursday.

question is: I have 1 copy of everything I sent them including the RFE's it says to bring 2 copies of everything. From any one else's experience did they actually take anything after the interview as far as the documents go?

I want to try to avoid having to copy almost 500 pages of stuff.

Thanks all

500!!?

I've read some stories on here that they do ask if they can keep certain copies, but can't say for sure how often that happens or what items they want.

They kept the copies some of my 'evidence of ongoing relationship' stuff - the bank statements in both of our names, life insurance with me as beneficiary, and - to my surprise - some of our wedding photos (luckily they were just prints I made at home on our photo printer). I wouldn't worry about copying 500 pages of stuff, maybe only copy the most important pieces - bank statements, shared property, etc. I don't think you need to worry about copying all your correspondence and stuff like that.

Good luck on your interview!

I would suggest you to have 2 copies of major documents, like marriage certificate, bank statement.....etc.....note that they might really ask for a copy of certain documents even they might already have it. During my interview, the lady couldn't find my marriage certificate, and ask if I bring it and if she can keep it. I say I can give her my extra copy and she is happy. Finally she found my other copy of the marriage certificate and gave me back the extra one.

Therefore, I would say better to be well-prepared, what if they really ask you for one and you don't have, I heard people got denied because of that.....so better be safe than sorry, bring more things and the chance of getting approve is higher! Sorry, I'm not trying to freak you out, hope these help!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

VSFansFans; You are right! Its better to have it I suppose. I have 2 copies of all the taxes, certificates, passport, "Evidence" and that sort of thing. The only thing I don't have 2 copies of are the actual forms that I sent in that are filled out....
