lateley I hv seen that peple are no obsessing over dates, at least on this forum ;-) I obsess over dates all the time and its a relief that everyone is getting sner now.....;-) thanks to people who are out there who are being sane and offering advice to just hold tight !

I dont see a reason, cos if my case is updated i get a Mail. I just try to relax cos as far as immigration goes there is nothing else I can do.

I prepared everything for the next steps (interview etc) and Im leaving my flat in two months and sending my pets over to my husbands at the end of the month as well.

I do check if the processing times change but that is all...what else is what I could do?

I called USCIS and they told me after the 90 day mark there is a 30 day window in which they can still approve our petition.

So Im not worried anymore. Sooner or later things will get moving and be sure, we will know first

Everything else is too much stress for me so Im settling down....nothing can be done, so why should I worry? Everything will work out just fine.

I tell myself to wait as well, but can't help feeling anxious. I look at our case everyday, several times, hoping for an update. Trying to keep really, really busy so I don't feel the wait.

timesnap, what's the point of obsessing over dates? You've just started a process that could take 6 months to a year to complete and nobody knows for sure. If obsessing moved the file forward, our collective will would have gotten everybody a visa by now. But we're stuck in a Limbo Land of waiting, often with inadequate information, and trying to pass the time productively.

I can imagine lots of fingernails being bitten down to the quick, plenty of people drinking alone at night, too many shopping trips and other distractions. On the other hand, I can imagine undertaking projects that take months to complete that will be a nice "welcome home" gift when that person finally arrives. Knit a blanket? Keep a photo journal? Grow a windowsill herb garden? Make plum liqeuer?

This is a special season of the mind where one can make plans and count blessings. I'd hate to waste it checking my USCIS case status twenty-seven million times a day.

Almost everyone is obsessed over the dates, but its useless. Theres nothing u can do cuz they have the power unfortunately. Its all a "waiting game" as my wise husband calls it.

People obsessed over dates because they wanna be with their SO. Thats fine everyone can handle their process their way. its their love ones case that is starting to show movement and life. Thats someting certainly to be excited about and something to also antisipate. The wonderful thought of being one day closer is what each person wants.

Hurry up and wait...that is the story of life...but so much more prevalent in waiting for a Visa process!

I am excited for us, but there is nothing that can be done but to talk on webcam w/voice for 3 hours a night, 7 nights a week, for the next 7-12 months!!!!!

God-willing our time will come!!!

lateley, I have started to try to obsesses less about teh dates and try to live my life. We have both come a long way and its just few months more......And I will be visiting him in July this year for a full month ! ;-) Hurray ..looking forward to that and guess what one month is already over since I applied ;-)

Where did you get the "90 day" information? My I-130 has been at the Vermont Service Center well over 90 days with no word. If there is indeed a 90 day limit, mine is past due. They received mine on February 28, 2006.
