Hi Everyone! I finally received a notice in the mail from USCIS (Milwaukee Office) for my interview appointment. They even misspelled my name on the letter but its not a big deal. The only thing that really concerned me is one of these requirements that I have to bring on the interview.

This is just an excerpt from the letter (lists of requirements to bring with me)

"This notice, your spouse, your passport, your alien card, and "2 RECENT PHOTO" (specifications may be obtained from website)... and some evidence to prove the marriage etc...

Are they refering to a photo of my husband and I together, if so they should not limit it into two right? Or are they refering to a photo with specific size like a passport? I was browsing their website all day but I could not find the specification of this photo. And besides photo with specific size is not even included on the list of the requirements in filing I-751. Was it a mistake? Does anyone has any idea about it, or can anyone provide me the link of the website where I can find the specs?

My interview is scheduled next month, any idea or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for all the replies. This forum is such a blessing to each and everyone of us.

Thanks everyone. God bless

Hi Poetry sorry to hear that you have to get the interview, I wish you good luck. Could you be so kind to let us know when you sent your docs to California & when you got your biometrics done, so we can have an idea how California Immigration has been processing the cases, or how long it takes to them to decide for an interview from the time they get the docs, as I understood very seldom they ask for an inteview.

Tks again & good luck!!!!! :star:

Hi,

There's nothing questionable about the requirements. I had an interview on Dec. and received the same letter with those requirements. Well it didn't say "evidence to prove marriage", it just said to bring the originals of what I've submitted before. But it did mention the photos, they're just passport photos and they ask for these to see if you prefer these instead of the one taken at your biometrics, at least that's the explanation that an inmigration attorney gave me. Anyway, at the interview I wasn't ask for the photos, but bring them to the appoinment because they asked for them. Good luck at the interview  Also you mentioned that your name was mispelled on the letter, at the interview make sure your name is correct so you don't get your greencard with your name mispelled.

Hi Daphne2109, I sent my documents to CSC in July. I had my biometrics in August. And then in December they sent me another notice informing me they've relocated my application to Milwaukee office for Adjudication. And finally last week I received a notice in the mail for my interview appointment. I hope this one helps. Thanks.

Hi Andersen, thanks for the reply it surely helped like others. How was your interview? Thanks for the advice, I would definitely ask them to correct the typo on my name.

Its very rare for a joint petition to get an interview. There is no need to worry as its a quality protocol or something the officer needs to get clear. Carry your whole file and whats asked for, you should be ok

Hi Poetry,

Good luck on your upcomming interview at your local office in Milwaukee next month. I'm sure that more likely approve you then. Make sure though, they they spell your name correctly on your new 10yr green card. As for the photos, just in case, bring the passport photos and bring other photos of you and your spouse, as who knows, they might actually ask for both of these sets of photos and for any other photos you may have. As well, do bring everything and anything else that they require for you to bring, and anything else you can think of that they can see as updated joint evidence.

And yes, do update us here on VJ as to how your I-751 interview goes, especially more so that I-751 interview are quite rare overall....

Hope this helps. Good luck with the rest of your immigration journey too.

Ant (Still waiting at the VSC, Still waiting for Baby...)

P.S. I agree, VJ is such a blessing to all of us who are going through this difficult immigration journey! It's nice to meet so many helpful and friendly people here, indeed!
