I watched some movie yesterday... A beautiful girl from my country apperently came to US as a fiancee of some strictly negative character. Another young man decided to help her, and the two of them married. The question is if it is remotely possible to enter as a fiancee of one man, and marry and successfully adjust status with another?

In no way do I need this information for personal purposes. I am happy with my husband, and we were "almost" approved yesterday (meaning we would have been approved us if my security check had been done). But for some reason the movie "touched" me. After all, that beautiful sad lady was from my country!

Nope,

you can't change your mind. If you enter under a specific K1-Visa you can't marry someone else. You would have to go back to your country and file a new application.

I watched this movie yesterday about this beautiful girl from my country apparently coming to the US as the strict fiancee of some negative character.

But then, another young man decides to help her and they both get married.

Could you please tell me the name of this movie and where, how or why you got a hold of it? Not too long ago, a female friend from Peru told me she had just finished watching this very same movie, which featured a beautiful girl from her home country instead.

There was another one called "mail order bride" in which the first time he lays eyes on the girl it is at the airport in the United States. We all know there is no fiance visa without meeting inperson.

This just also happened in that new show on NBC or ABC (I don't remember) named Winfall or something where it's that big group of friends that win the lottery. There is that young kid that ended up going in on it with the girl in the gas station and won but because he was underage his dad said he wouldn't be seeing a dime of the money unless it was through him. That very evening I guess they had guests and this guy brought this girl from russia and was planning on marrying her or something but he was such a ####### so the kid made a suggestion to her for them to go get hitched (so she could claim money for him cuz he's underage) so now they are married.

I was talking about the same serial (right?). It was definitely about winning the lottery

So, it was not all about helping her, the young fellow had his own agenda :)
