Ok, so we were out at supper with our housemate the other day and we got into a discussion about what our most common phrases were when we got home from work...or in general.

Hubsters was.... when he comes home from work...he lets out a big sigh once the door shuts... then like clockwork..says ohh I di-DEN-n't eat from the morning, wallah taaaban, wallah.

Mine is ... walk in the door from work, set my purse down, sit in the recliner for a moment while staring off into space and just relaxing for a minute. I don't speak until I have to lol

My sons is.... I'm hungry. mom, mama, mama, mama, hey mama, I'm hungry, what can I eat...

our housemate's is ..... lilly! lilly sit! lilly stay! lilly down! lilly come! lilly stop! lilly! lilly! Come lilly! Get down lilly! (can u tell she got a new puppy? lmaoooo)

So it made me wonder if you have noticed any repetitious things ur loved ones' say when they get home....

Let the laughs begin :)

Scary thought. I walk in the door and sit in my lounge chair. I tell everyone to leave me alone, I just got off work, and I am not doing a damn thing unti I am damn good and ready.

well before i even walk in the door, i have to put on my SWAT uniform to get inside cuz the kids seem to always leave their backpacks, coats, boots, etc just laying right in front of the door and i have to remind them that I live here too  and i always get the lovely treat of dishes stacked a mile high in the sink and i have to remind them that we do have a dishwasher but its the same story of he did it/she did it..oh well, this is the price of being a mom...lol

:rofl: If I get to eventually stay in this house, high on my to-do list is to construct a "mudroom". There are just waaaaaaaaaaaay too many boots/mittens/hats/backpacks/ipods/etc that are just waiting for me to trip over when I walk in the door.

Usama - opens door and says "salam alaykum", I answer back. Then he disappears to wash up and pray and then I get "what is for dinner my love". I ask how was work and it's always "alhumdulilah", which is a nice answer I guess if you like clear as mud answers but it's a pain 'cause I have to ask a few times (getting the same alhumdulilah each time) before I hear "it sucked honey".

That's about it.

Me? That's a hard one because the things I used to repeat over and over like "Jesus, Mary and Joseph" or "Saints preserve us" I just can't say anymore, you know? I guess the only thing I can think of is while I'm driving home from work the kids call and ask "when's dinner ready". Mind you, I'm still en route in the car. I always answer "i'm driving honey, probably about 1/2 hour after I get home" (thank you rachel ray).

Hmmm for me, I get the boys from the babysitter, so I say "hi boys, (Big hugs and kisses when they run to the door) how was your day? Were you good? Did you eat lunch?" Then we go home and I say upon entering, "shoes, jackets, hats off in the closet not on the floor!!!" Boys say 'mom here mom, mommy, mommy. here here, help me momm....dah dah". Youssef says "Hi, i'm hungry I didn't eat all day, OR I didn't get lunch until 2:30....OR can you make us a snack?" Alterntely "i had a bad day, just like everday... (can you tell he hates his job?)

This is cute.

I pick my son up from daycare and its...momma momma momma!! pick me up!! (he weighs almost 50lbs now!)

our "sayings" start in the car:

me-how was your day?

him a couple times a week- can we have junk food, cuzz you dont wanna cook tonight?

me- NO, we're having :fill in quick easy dinner here:

come home to the dog who acts like we have been gone for a year as most do.. akasha, chill out! josh, take your shoes off please!

then I go into the second shift of cooking/cleaning up and playing with my 5 y.o :D

thats about it.

I cant wait to add my husbands habits into that whole equation

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

When I walk thru the door I am greeted by the two cats and I will say the female cats' name Candyyyy then bend down to pet her and she will lay down and roll on her back with her feet in the air and eyes wide open at the mention of her name and touch. Shes adorable. The male cat Alex will attack my feet and follow me into the kitchen or try to jump the door to the bedroom down bcz he knows hes about to get shut out.

Adam is usually sleeping so I will attempt many manymanyyyyy times to wake him up. Once hes awake in his good time, he says what to eat what to eat! and my response... Im not hungry
