hi,

i'm UMA..im a member of visajourney but den i lost my account last year..(uma_gurl)dat was my account last year..

i entered US with a K-1 visa hir in las vegas last nov 11..and my visa will EXPIRES ON JAN.29.29..we got married last DEC.18..after the wedding we got lost..we dont know wat to do next..im so worried ryt now coz we dont know wat to do..?wat papers to file to USCIS..?pls guys i need your help..pls tell me wat to do step by step..were runnin out of tym..i dont wanna go back to the philippines..especially now dat i got married to my baby..pls help us... :crying:

Read the Guides for form I-485 - Adjustment of Status. The K-1 is a non-immigrant visa and you now want to change ("adjust") your status to immigrant. The I-485 will get you the green card. There are other things you must provide with the form so read over the guides and if you have questions, come back here and people will be happy to help you out.

Just to add, try and file as soon as you can. There's no set date you have to apply by, but the earlier the better. Also, DON'T leave the US until you have AP (which you file for with the I-485). It allows you to re-enter the US. If you leave and don't have it, you'll have ot go through the visa process all over again.

Mailed AOS, EAD and AP Sept 11 '07

Recieved NOA1's for all Sept 23 or 24 '07

Bio appt. Oct. 24 '07

EAD/AP approved Nov 26 '07

Got the AP Dec. 3 '07

AOS interview Feb 7th (5 days after the 1 year anniversary of our K1 NOA1!

Stuck in FBI name checks...

Got the GC July '08
