Thank you everyone!

Hello Kanyiri :)

I took at look at your wedding pictures and you and your hubby are such a beautiful couple..You can see how genuine the love is between the 2 of you! My boo is also a citizen of Ghana and we have just begun VJ process...A month ago I just received all my NOA1 for the 1-130 and 1-129F. Would you mind sharing information on the Ghanian Embassy and your fiance's experience would be so helpful for me and my boo.

Thanks so much

Akatagirl :D

If you look at the embassy reviews, I have written there. Also, if you check old postings, you'll find a lot of our experiences there. Although I'm guessing a lot went away when the server was switched. If you have any questions, let me know and I'll answer them as best I can. If I don't know, I'll ask Re.

Good luck with everything!

Kanyiri

Hello,

For those of you who are just starting this process, my advice is short. There are always people who are prejudice. People don't like the color of your skin or the color of your significant other's. People don't like your country of origin or your significant other's. People don't like the circumstances under which you met. Someone always has a sob story to prevent you from tripping on the same stone that they did. Listen to them, and then follow your own path. Don't let someone else make your decisions.

Anyway, if you look at my pictures on VJ you will find us.

I wish you all the best.

Kanyiri

Awww Kanyiri, What a beautiful, hopeful post and what beautiful pictures! Continue to be good to each other!!!

The section I quoted above is so true - people will find SOMETHINg that is "wrong" with your relationship. Henry and I are the same race, the same color almost (he lighter skinned), same religion/denomination and his brothers tried to squash our wedding because I am older and have a doctorate. They even crank call us to tell us we are doomed. So you are right! We have to follow our path!

Good luck to RE as he starts CNA training!!!

Take good care.
