Approximate Time between NVC approval and interview date

Hello,

Maddy and I are trying to determine the space of time between the NVC approval and the interview date. I have her DS-230 ready to send off, all fees paid, just need to take the envelope to the Post Office.

But, because she is in school until sometime in mid-march, we really don't want her interview before that. Hopefully the end of March or first of April at the earliest. She has worked hard to get really good grades in her classes, and I would hate to see her lose it all because she had to be out for days for her medical and interview. And, I plan to be there with her for her interview, and would like to have some time with her.

OK, it was a long post for a short question, just wanted to explain why we prefer a later date. ;)

Thanks all,

Maddy & Rick

I am not a professional at answering people's questions, but it seems to me that if you send in the final info, it will still take NVC between 1 and 2 weeks to check and make sure it's all there and put you at case complete... Then you will PROBABLY have to wait till February to find out if you get a March interview--that is how it works for Jordan... If you don't get a March Interview-which is highly likely, you would then call back in March to see if you get one in April... it all has to do with where you sit on the list, and how many visas they can give for that month.. Tricky question- If I were you and wanted to be sure it was not till April, I would wait myself until Late Jan or early Feb to send it, because since you want it April sometime, you will be scheduled for march-- you know laws of odds and stuff! LOL--Good luck

PROBABLY SAFE TO GO AHEAD AND SEND NVC PACKAGE NOW. IT TOOK ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF FROM NVC COMPLETE UNTIL WE HAD THE INTERVIEW. THAT WAS THE EARLIEST AVAILABLE, COULD HAVE CHOSEN A LATER DATE...

With the average time between NOA2 and the interview being 150 days at Manila for the past three months, it looks like April may be the month of the interview. Of course, this is pnly an average. Your timeline may vary.

Our ds230 papers spent just about a month at NVC...only because our case was complted aftr their monthly cut-off. So, unless you are absolutely sure that you will not be gtting any RFE, you should be done by feb and get an interview by march. You might want to ask NVC if they can schdule her interview on a later date.

12-09-08 - INTERVIEW @ 6:30AM...God be with us! --- APPROVED!!!

12-11-08 - VISAS RECEIVED....YAHOOOOO!!!

I submitted my husbands ds230 in November, with 3 weeks review his case was completed December 08 and he got Feb 25th interview.

So probably if you will submit your daugthers DS230 next week, give it about 2-3 weeks and her case will be completed by end of this month. So most likely her schedule will be end of March or early April.

If in any case she cant make it, she can ask to reschedule.

I was surprised by how fast they scheduled ours the last time. It was only about a month after the packet was received by the embassy. Because I had planned my travel there for the next month I just called and they rescheduled without any problem
