Hi, can anyone help me here. i know that a lot of people get the medical in london scheduled for a day before the interview or on the same day and whatnot to save them from travelling down twice. i can`t really travel down twice as it is a very long way to go, so i was hoping to schedule the medical the day before my interview if i could. my question is though, to those who have done it, on the question in the packet 3 forms, it asks you for date of medical examination. if you can`t schedule the medical until you know the date of your interview, what should you put in that line? i know a few people have done this and i`m just wondering what they put on the form?

any help at all? i`m just wanting to make sure i don`t mess anything up.

hope i hear from someone

thanks

Paul

I called the Embassy yesterday to see if they have an interview date set, i was told they can't give me an interview date until i have had my medical and they receive that back.

I know its extortinate at £1.20/min but worth a call to the Embassy to see if they will allow you to do medical the day before due to distance.

If you have the medical the day before or the same day as the interview you can still be approved but issuance of your visa will be pending satisfactory medical results. So, I'm not sure how accurate the information is that you HAVE to have the medical before the interview.

You can book a date for your medical before returning P3 and then on receipt of your embassy appt call the doctor's office to have it changed to a more convenient date. This is fairly common and the doctor's office don't seem to mind changing your appointment. I know people have done the medical the same day but a word of warning: The embassy procedure can entail a lot of waiting around. I was there from 9.00 am until 1.30pm. I wouldn't like to be putting myself under two separate types of pressure on the day of my interview. I had my medical 2 days prior and stayed in London until the interview.

My husband had his interview in the morning and his medical in the afternoon, on the same day. This was Jan. 2008. They told him he was approved pending medical results. It takes about 4 working days for the medical results to get to the embassy.
