Oh, if only the exchange rate didn't suck so much right now. It still isn't that bad, but if it were how it was a few years ago, $15 for a kaftan would be a great deal! The shalwars and kurtis and other stuff is pretty cute too.

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

I've always wanted to order from eshakti, because apparently you can pick the style/length of tunic and pants. But, I have one shalwar kameez and I just look like a desi poser in it :lol:

I love shalwar kameez..... I wish I could get away w/ wearing them more.... for some reason I feel like I can't. But those Eshakti ones are nice... some beautiful (and colorful) options...

Feb 6, 2007 - checks cashed for AOS/EAD/AP - YAY!

April 17, 07 - AP approved

April 19, 07 - EAD approved

Good idea, Shon... perhaps I will! I also live in ghandouras at home and as cover-ups for costuming and swimwear.... sleep in one almost every nite! It's like my "housecoat"! :P

They usually sell these cheap overseas. A lot cheaper then you will find on the Internet.
