YES YES YES and don't give up, this wait I'm sure 99% of people that going thru K-1 proccess HAVE second thoughts at some point  unfortunatelly, but you should look at possitive side too..... if you're going to make it thru the whole process and work it out with your Fiance then you guys have true love and are meant for each other.

I speak from my own experiecne, I was in fight with my Fiance and had second thoughts for about 3 months and within those 3 months we really talked and got to know each other's expectations and now I'm so happy we went thru that because since then we LOVE each other even MORE!!!! (L):D:) now he knows what I'm expecting from him and I know what he especting from me. You have to think about that you both were born and raised in a different world, different families and so thus you have conflicts and misunderstandings...... but the MOST important thing in this situation is TALK TALK TALK and tell him what you want and ask him what he is expecting of you :)

Best of Luck to you both, and its all about the wait that makes the HARDEST in this proccess :(

I really believe that my man hasn't had any second thoughts but it IS ROUGH!!! Hopping on Tankgurls' comment, we also had a serious conversation about our expectations and wants. As far away as we are, this has brought us even closer. The hardest and most frustrating thing for me right now is that I am applying for some fellowships to go to Africa next year and if I go he will either return to Guyana in the meantime, or settle some stable place in Africa so we can see each other every couple months. I really was looking forward to spending a solid 6 months with him before then but now its looking more and more unlikely! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

and I really hate that CSC is processing so fast now while VSC is dwindling...

No second thoughts here...

I had discussed this with Umit, and we both are looking forward to our life together, for the rest of our lives, so this small matter of waiting to do that is nothing compared to that!

We plan on visiting each other waiting - and we are constantly talking with webcams/messenger/email/phone calls.

It's tough, but I am looking for the big payoff in the end...

Reminds me of a story of the young bull and old bull.....

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

I could understand having second thoughts about where you guys would live, but having second thoughts about getting married? Because of paperwork delays??...I don't know. I doubt the paperwork is the most difficult part of an international marriage :)

No second thoughts for us. We were very sure before and much more now. This K1 process has only made our love stronger and has brought us even closer to each other.

Hang in there Tankgurl.

Not with us while we were waiting.

It looks like your WHOLE process was only five months... that sounds heavenly!

But yeah- no doubts... just expensive phone bills- heheheh

Yeah... paperwork is definitely not the hardest! Being without each other-EVER-now or in the future is the hardest. Now because its not by choice and my man is from a "high-fraud" country and can't even come to visit!!!

Not had second thoughts about being together.. what's the alternative? Being without him - HELL NO!

Had second thoughts about moving to the US, yes. Sometimes I wonder if we should have just moved to the UK instead. But hey, we're halfway through the process now. Another 5-6 months and we'll be together.

My guy is having some second thoughts now that the NOA2 approval is getting closer. I am hoping it is just a bump in the road to our happiness.

It is only normal I think to have some second thoughts, as moving to a new country is definately a big thing. And really we have spent only a few weeks together in real time, all of these times great, but they all have been vacation....not real life, so kind of scary to wonder if real life will be that good.

I am totally willing to be with him and see what it can be, hopefully his doubts won't overwhelm him....we are so close!

Plenty of doubts, it's a hard process, but never second thoughts about the relationship itself. Like Gemmie said... what's the alternative... isn't one worth considering.

I will say as it gets closer to being there I am getting nervous/anxious, we're talking huge life altering changes here, even though it's an easy decision to stick with the relationship, the consequences of that decision are likely to be difficult.

Posted (edited)

It is not easy and can make you feel like you may be "wasting" time and then

what if it doesnt happen?

will this person still be the same person I was with "over there"?

second thoughts should not come after you started the process but long before you filed for them in them in the first place.
