K1 confusion

We got our hard copy of the NOA2 today (a week later) from VSC and we're a little confused.

It mentions that our file has been forwarded to "the Consulate" stated and then they don't list London anywhere and they don't mention the NVC either - isn't it their job to forward it to the Consulate?

The packet should go to the NVC and they will assign a case number and forward to the embassy. I am not sure what London has for a prefix on the case number but Manila had MNL. Good luck

OK thanks, so is it normal for VSC to state that they've forwarded it to the CONSULATE and not mention NVC?

We haven't recieved anything from the NVC either.

typically takes a few weeks but NVC will send a letter to the petitioner with the consulate case number (LNDXXXXXXXXX) in your case.... Or you can try calling NVC

Apparently the woman at NVC said she has no idea why our NOA2 says what it does.. she said they usually say that the case has been sent to NVC as opposed to the Consulate!! What is wrong with these people..

Anyway she said our file was sent to London two days ago..
