Is it just me or does anyone else notice a significant slow down on the legal process and more focus on the illegal? Seems like a well planned coincidence to me.

I'm sorry, Tom. You must be very stressed out.

Yes, there has been a major slowdown with the "illegal immigrant" issue and the "mail order bride" issue.

I find it very surprising that no one can sympathise with the OP's frustration.

I hear ya, Tom.

cause this is the 100 time this topic or similar ones have been posted,.

Yeah, but he wasn't around for that!

Can't he be upset about something that others before him were also upset about???

That's be like someone posting "Yay! I got my NOA2", and everyone responding "whoop-de-doo".

this thread will end badly..they all do or maybe just be ignored by most for lack of interst or energy

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

I'm not sure if he's so angry that the baby won't be born in the United States or just that his wife can not access an American hospital in the Phillipines (perhaps?) The US does have hospitals and services world wide for example military personnel etc. It would be hard if not impossible to prove that your fiance was having an American child and then to get treated in such a facility but I guess it's an arguement one could make. It is a frustrating time when your child is on the way, you can't be with your fiance/wife and you are worried about both of them . People can say "you should have planned better" until their blue in the face but the fact is it is done and over with and there is no sense in debating whether or not you could have altered the outcome because the reality is here. I wish you two all the best luck for a speedy visa process and a healthy child.

I don't think that comment was called for. How does anyone know how long the visa process will take? So you're asking Tom to put his life on hold in the hopes that his visa will come through soon? I'm 43, my fiancee (wife) is 39, we would love to have a child before we get to the age where we cannot. While I was in China I would have loved to have started our family but knowing that I probably could not be with her during the delivery I didn't want to chance it.

There are oh so many ways to come into the United States illegally, those of us truly in love don't want to worry about our future husbands or wives being deported so we go through the proper channels. This puts our lives on hold, our bright future with our soulmates, our future children, everything gets put on hold.

I can understand the anger of those who went through or are going through the system legally, the waiting time, the patience, the time away from loved ones, the paperwork involved, the funds to utilize the legal system. There's no one right or wrong answer, everyone wants a better life, a chance to improve themself and their living condition, a chance to be with the one that they love, this is life! How can anyone be criticized for wanting this? I have heard a man that came to the U.S. illegally make the following comment: "If I knew that taking a week off from work would gain my citizenship then I would have taken more than one day off from work in protest." Imagine, if every "illegal immigrant" applied for citizenship at the same time, how long would it take for the K1 or K3 visa's to go through? I don't know the answer to immigration nor will I ever, all that I know is that people around the world need to be given a proper education, proper living conditions, and proper healthcare.

Just my thoughts.

  • 2 weeks later...

In summary -- the illegal immigrants are not playing by the rules and have cut in front of those of us waiting in the line seeking legal immigration.

Manpower and resources are being allocated to solve their lack of citizenship problem, while those of us who play by the rules get to stand further and further back in the legal immigration line. I would bet my hat that the reshuffling of cases from TSC to CSC etc etc has something to do with preparing for this additional workload of legalizing those who illegally cut the line.

I am sure all of us want to be treated fairly when we play by the rules and wait our turn in line. Why isn't illegal immigration being treated with same punishment as visa fraud? Those who do not play by the rules and cut in front of us waiting in line, should not get treated to the same benefits as those of us who do not commit any crimes, do not commit any visa fraud, and play by the rules.

These illegals are here for purely economic reasons, they do not want to be part of E PLURIBUS UNUM(OUT OF MANY, ONE NATION -- remember citizenship is more than just "having a job") and regularly return to their homes when their economic wants/needs are satisfied.

I am so sick to death of everyone thinking a fetus should fast track a visa app

The same thing happpened in ireland not so long ago.The government finally said enough is enough as we had women from africa/eastern europe flying to ireland heavely pregnant and then trying to claim asylum when they had the baby in ireland at the tax payers expense.

It got so bad that half the babies born in ireland were non EU.

Its a sad world when you do something illegal and get rewarded and then you do something the right and legal way and your are put in a queue like the rest of us.

Nothing is going to be done to resolve this as the US government are too weak.

Even in my own sitution i tried to get a drivers permit last week, i was told i need a greencard.Yet in the area i live in i see countless illegals driving to their hearts content.
