Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I could rattle off a list of people who have come and gone on this site either because they didn't get the answers they wanted, didn't get them fast enough, or just plain ol' didn't want to listen.

Dumasses will come and go. Those who really care stick around.

Yodrak the Teacher and Lorelle the Wench...gotta love 'em!

sounds like some characters from a star wars movie

 I just caught up with this thread.......I have a huge amount of respect for the stalwarts of VJ...

Meauxna, the Mermaid, Yodrak, Aussie and there are others I know. Yodrak hurt my feelings once when I was a newbie  ....I learnt my lesson and find out what I need to know myself mostly

VJ is a great source of support

hahahah I hear ya about the "Professor"!!! ;) I used to think... wow, this guy is kinda mean... but after months of being on VJ, and seeing the same questions over and over and over again, or as the professor calls "FAAAQ", I see where he is coming from! But anytime it's a unique problem or issue, he is right there with the answers or good advice! :D:thumbs:

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I am still here 2354ab87.gif...just reading more then doing much posting lol I am stuck with dial-up until the 20th because of the move from my old place :crying: (everybody go 'awwwwwwwww') It is driving me insane. I have been busy with the move as well. Will be staying here now with one of my sons until by big plane trip back to my pirate.

Not necessary but thanks everyone for the appreciation shown. You know, everybody on here makes VJ what it is. I must admit I was pretty gobsmacked by this members outburst lol but thats their problem. I know myself....I have learnt much from Meauxna, Yodrak, mdyoung, DM, ziggy, to name but a few and I have always admired the fact that they stick around after their own journey is over. I wont go on and on as I recall reading somewhere that according to a certain member, I like the sound of my own voice hahahaha

Be good and behave ;) I will be back to my posting frenzy once my internet allows lol

Not sure about the other thing Lorelle said...BE HAVE? Never heard of that...no such word  .Ohhhh,it`s behave...never heard of it either

i tip my hat to yodrak and aussie girl...also, to folks helped me and many others ..the mermaid...arijit..tom (in the PIs)..Meaux..sharon...juilya..and many others who have drifted away from vj///all of these folks were patient and knowledgeable...

ditto, and I wanna add mdyoung as well.

Ditto to this...

and if these people (halohalo and jazzy) cannot see wisdom in the face and learn sumthin'

it's her loss and her journey should become hellish...

(please God forgive me for wishing wrong on people!!!)
