HI again, im here at the US already last dec 20, 2008, i have a question i used my maiden name at the petition of my K-3 visa, it is possible that for applying the AOS im going to use my married name? and im wondering coz i already inquired at the Social Security about my name change but she said that i need to have my EAD first before changing anything on my SSN, the category (a)(9) is applicable for me to file for an EAD? and do i need to pay for the application? i will appreciate any suggestions from you guys, thank you....

EAD APPLICATION:

2009-01-10 ----- E-filed EAD Application

2009-01-20 ------NOA1 Receipt Notice

2009-01-22 ------Biometrics appointment recieved by mail

2009-02-11-------Biometrics Date (done smoothly)

2009-4-15 -------- EAD Approved

2009-4-24 -------- EAD Received by mail ( yyyeeeeessssss)

Yes, you can use your married name on filing AOS. Filing fee for EAD was included in the AOS fee.

Aug. 17, 2009.....NOA

Sept.01, 2009.....biometric appointment

Sept.12, 2009.....rcved interview letter

Oct. 19, 2009.....date of interview....passed!!!!!

Nov. 18, 2009.....Oath Ceremony...yahooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
