Hey guys...

we got our NOA at the of Dec and the NVC still says that they haven't received our case yet!!!

We called USCIS yesterday and they said that they would request some more information and call us back!

Has anyone had this problem before and do you know of anything we could do????

Thanks for your help...

I was so hopeful that it would move quicker now and then that!

Used to be a very common scenario for those going through California as they used to wait until they filled a pallet to ship approved petitions accross the Country to NVC in NH, but I haven't seen much of it these days. The ones I have seen delayed lately were caused by USCIS error filing the case somewhere it wasn't suppose to be so do stay on top of it and keep us posted. I'm sure you'll be able to find some of those posts if you do a search.

good luck. I hope it gets there soon!

We were touched on 01/06 and when my fiance called the NVC, they said our file was sent to the Consulate in London on 01/07.. we never recieved any letter from them saying that they had gotten our file or anything.

I've seen others touched before their file was sent out too.

So don't panic. I would try calling again.

Our case seems to be lost!!!!!!!!

we called USCIS again and even though they requested additional information there is nothing new they can tell us!!!! What the heck.....???

The lady told us that our best bet is getting an info pass appointment so I guess that's what we'll do now!!!!

I really don't know what to say!!!! I'm a little crushed....

I would be happy for any help at this point!

You can try DOS, they will have any information the Embassy has. (202) 663-1225 Press 1, then Press 0. The robot that answers the call talks forever, so just press 0 to bypass him. Same for the second robot that comes on...skip him with a 0 and the next answer is a live person.

Can your report on what happened with the Infopass appointment last Friday.

As you know, I am in the same boat as you (received NOA2 12/19 > NVC still has no record of it).

I totally relate to what you're going through and am looking for what to do next. If infopasss was helpful I would like to know.

best luck to us both

Hey!

i'm sorry but I have to report that the infopass appointment was not that helpful. The guy told my fiance that he couldn't give him any additional information because they are just a local office and don't have any access to the system. Which in my opinion is not true just due to the fact of what I have heard from others on here. But he said that he would send out an email to USCIS.

Tomorrow he'll contact a couple more places and also the congressman. We'll see what happens and I'll keep you updated on here.

Thanks for the update. I am already very upset over this and can only imagine how you guys must feel. BUt I am so glad to have found an other in this situation. It seems that ours have been put into limbo where neither agency has to be held accountable. A neat beaurecratic trick. ugg!

I talked to NVC again today and stil the same with us. I expressed my concern to the operator over the fact that the NOA2 only has a validity period of 4 months and I was concerned about being able to complete everything overseas with the delay. She told me that as long as the USCIC or NVC still has the 129f, then the case will never expire. ?!? I don't understand how she can say that when the contrary is clearly printed on the NOA2.

Did your infopass agent say anything about the validity period expiring issue?

I will be watching this thread carefully and hopefully any others in the same situation will post here as well.
