One time (no not at band camp) someone didn't show up for floor....I took the shift, and a cash buyer called & bought a house from me. The contract was written the same day, lol.

Anya, do you not like the biz? I know of many couples who are a team. I don't think D and I could do it...we'd proly kill each other, lol

I walked back to the guy's desk area in the bullpen & he was on the phone. You could tell he knew I was standing there but he never made eye contact with me. Well I finally walked over to him and motioned 'i need to talk to you when you get off the phone'

that was like 10-15 mins ago. I think he left, lol.

Lisa hope your day is getting better, I would of taken the same attitude at you have, it is damn right rude for someone so new to take advantage of a fellow worker. This fellow did not even apologise to you when he first came into the office, he just sneaked in and not a blooming word. I do not think he is going to last long in the job.

AWWWW LISA!!! The mood I am in right now, you should have let me deal with him for ya...so what if I am in the UK! I would have called and really given him a right bolloxing...How ignorant can you get..really?? That is some nerve to take advantage like that. I use to manage a restaurant/pizzaria and I tell you what..some new employee did that, he/she would be out on their keesters quicker than you can say boo!!

I'm sorry that guy is such an irresponsible asshat. I hope it rains on him, and only him. Right after he (hopefully) puts purple manic panic in his hair. And is wearing a white shirt. With no jacket. And he finds he locked his keys (car, work, apt) in his apartment. Along with his cell phone. And his neighbors hate him so won't let him in.

So I was on a floor shift...10:30-12:30. Floor is highly sought after cos any leads that call into the office during your shift are yours to keep. We have so many new agents also that floor has gone from 3 shifts a mo each to 2 some months. But there's always someone who needs to dump his/her shift & I'm well known for usually taking them. To me, it's like I'm missing out on something...I can't say no cos if I turn something down, that could be the shift where you get THAT CALL. The one that brings home the serious bacon.

ANYWAYS....as you guys know, David's here. I was hoping no one needed to dump floor while he was here. So far so good. Today's shift was from someone else, but it worked out ok cos he walked over the road to the sports bar to watch Germany v Costa Rica. The plan was at 1230 I'd meet him there, we'd have lunch, watch the rest of the game, and spend the rest of the day together.

Well the guy scheduled for floor after me (a newbie) NEVER SHOWED UP. So I call him. I'm all 'hey you on your way here or what?' He's like (stoner voice) 'oh sh!t was that today?' Then he says 'oh well I'll send out an email to see who will cover it'

A few things: 1 - He's dead new and he shouldn't be so cavalier about his schedule & throwing someone in it.

2 - His shift had started 10 mins before I called him. One cannot arrange cover IN AN OFFICEWIDE EMAIL in such short notice.

3 - It forced me to cover it. Not necc FORCED me per se, but how in the world could I walk away from a shift? But even if I DIDN'T want to cover it, I cannot leave the floor unsupervised. I haven't eaten a damn thing today cos I was planing lunch at 1245 & now I'm stuck til 2:30

What a stupid #######!

I just called the bar David is at & told him I can't make lunch Oh, and floor is dead as a doornail today I'm still hoping for that $1 mil call so I can rub his face in it, lol.
