To me she is one step away from being as vile as hate groups like the skinheads & the KKK... I hate their views as well so according to your logic you would have a problem with that as well. Furthermore there is a huge group of people (like me) who aren't right wing & aren't liberal... we're called moderates or centrists. In fact moderates/centrists are probably the largest political group in the USA as we cross party lines (independents, republicans & democrats). Every time someone opposes your views you slap the label of "liberal" on them, when in reality a small minority of people fall into this category.

First of all, I don't fall into this trap of labeling this group of that "Hate" groups or hateful people.

The whole concept behind it is to build momentum to silence those you don't like.

If you disagree with that.... you have not read your local universities student handbook. (for starters).

Secondly as I stated earlier Coulter has the right to free speech, so you are barking up the wrong tree with the idea that I feel she should be silenced (although I would certainly prefer that she shut her pie hole). As for Coulter being full of hate you actually agreed with that earlier in this thread, but you pulled the old "liberal" card (i.e. anyone that hates Coulter must be one of those awful liberals) which I've pointed out is largely untrue. If I were you I would quit before you fall into the hole you are digging... you are starting to contradict yourself (and your argument was flawed to begin with).

What color is the sky in your world? Liberals are a relatively small political group, but it seems the only retort people like you have is to label anyone with a different view as a liberal. Generally this is in response to a position or statement that you are unable to intelligently defend.

My disagreement isn't some much with calling them "hate groups" it is the selective use of this term.

What was the name of that group that dedicated its self to hunting down former Nazi criminals from WW2? I don't see how one could not call that a hate-group as well.

How about those folks who are dedicated to shutting down the Klan, I would bet they are no more driven by hate than any other hate-group.

How about those animal rights groups who destroy testing labs, are you telling me these people don't hate those who are profiting off the animals?

How about all these Muslim groups calling for the death of others?

These examples are endless.

Are you going to decide which hate is good and which hate is bad? Do you want the Gov't?

Sometimes hate is a good thing, and even forming groups which cause is based on the hate of

an idea, an injustice or of others has historically led to an greater good in the end.

AGAIN, I am against people who commit crime, labeling groups as "hate groups" and using this to silence people is wrong and I think it will back fire.

In any case, next time you mention your hate of "hate groups".... why not be a little more diverse than the typical rubber-stamp KKK and skin heads?

I get your point that labeling certain groups as hate groups could potentially be a slippery slope, but I disagree with your conclusions. As for mentioning the KKK and skinheads those groups came to my mind... I could have certainly done some research & listed some others but my point was made. However you mixed apples & oranges by lumping in Nazis & Nazi hunters... that's kind of like putting terrorists & those who kill terrorists in the same category (completely different).

The bottom line is that Coulter's views are seen as extreme & hateful by a large number of people, perhaps even a majority of people. Although she has the right to express her views they are considered by many (most?) to be based on ignorance & hate (similar to the "hate" groups I mentioned, albeit to a lesser degree). It seems to me that you are unwilling to accept these facts & at the same time you discredit anyone who finds her views as being offensive by slapping on that overused & abused term label of "liberal" (I don't recall that you specifically did this, but it's a common tactic used by the right to discredit other viewpoints).
