Reschedule Interview

My k1 interview date is June 16th, and I still have not got back my passport from Passport Office(for PP Clearance, and is with them for over 1.5 months). Without it I cant get medical done. Please tell me what should I do. I had all documents, support documents, evidences, my fiancee will be here in 3 days time, she will be here 3rd time in 9 months.

I never send them PAcket 3 checklist stating that I had all documents with me, they automatically send me packet 4. I never thought that I can face more bad luck then this. Whats the procedure for resheduling, and will it have effect on my next interview and visa. How much time I will have to wait for another interview.

Try try try to get your passport... call the office and tell the your situation. I don't know how far in advance the medical needs to be done in India I know on the packet my fiance received it said 2 weeks before the interview. Maybe you should reschedule to be safe I'm sorry that really is bad luck. I'm sure someone else can offer you more insight on what to do. Good luck,

My wife got her K3 from New Delhi in Apr 06. We had to get the clearance certificate from passport office in a hurry as well. Fortunately we were able to get it in a week. I think you have to wait 3-4 days to get the medical report back from the doctor in Delhi as well.

Rescheduling the interview should not adversely affect your case except, of course, the delay. The embassy probably would have the interviews for Jul scheduled in the next week or so and you may be pushed out to Aug.

Try to get the clearance and passport back.

I agree with everyone, phone the passport office explain your situation and go from there. Good Luck

Wow, I had to get a new passport ´cus mine expired two months ago, and I got mine same day. Went to the police at 10 am, gave them the paperwork, took a walk around town, had lunch, looked at some stores, came back at 3 pm and it was all ready.

If they can do a passport this fast in Brasil I am sure you can get them to speed things up to you.
