I had talked with Milagros prior to see how she felt. I knew she was the one so I made plans.

First I set a date with the parents to eat out where I asked their permission. I had practiced asking in Spanish the exact words so I wouldn't mess anything up.

I went back to my hotel where I got ready while I had her brother and friends go out for the night. They took her to the same restaurant we went on our first date and I asked her out in. I snuck up behind her and gave her some flowers. She had no idea I was even going to be there (everything was hush hush)

We ate dinner and then when it was time I excused myself to the bathroom. When I came back i took out the ring and proposed.

We have the worst engagement story ever. We fought about going out for a nice dinner because I was full. He showered and told me we were going! I sat on the bed and flat ironed my hair, muttering about what an ### he was for forcing me to go out to dinner. He walked in the room with a towel on, and shoved a box in my face and I shoved it back. He got down on one knee and said "You're a real ### sometimes Lepine, but I love you, will you marry me?" I cried cause I'm such a ####### sometimes. I said yes.

We've been fighting ever since.

On my 4th trip ( I think? LOL ) The weather was really warm and I'd gone (at his mother's insistence) to take a nap in his sister's room. I remember laying down and thinking I am not even tired, why are they always making such a big fuss out of me and making me..... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz  I guess that I was tired after all.

I woke up with a diamond studded ring on my left hand ring finger. I noticed it right away because I hadn't worn jewelry on that hand for some time and it was just a hair too big and was sliding between the ring position and my knuckle. I sat up, felt a little confused and  and walked to the door which was slightly ajar and I found him sitting outside the room on the stoop with a very nervous look on his face staring at the bedroom door.

I ran to him, jumped on him, hugged him and kissed him to death. And then he said, "So that, it means, yes?"

It was a very original proposal in my opinion and a situation where no words needed to be spoken. :luv:

In the plaza in front of the kotel (western wall), Jerusalem... I got down on my knee and proposed, warning her that what I am doing is probably violating shabbat in the most holy Jewish place since it was Saturday and I was giving her a ring..

I did it in a swimming pool in Camiguin. Two days later we went back to CDO and had a big party with her parents and some friends.
