IR1 visa issued same interview date in Montreal?

I'll IR1 visa interview in Montreal Consulate in about 3 weeks (Jan 27).

I wonder the visa can be picked up in the same interview date.

Any fees need to be paid at the interview. If yes, how much?

No fees. Don't forget your envelope and yes, at least some people have been offered their visas the same day. My husband as given his after 3 PM the day of his interview.

There is another VJ member, slywolf, who had his interview today, he asked if he could have his visa right away, they offered to let him pick it up tomorrow at noon.

Just a note that this is not guaranteed - it is completely up to the CO who conducts the interview (ie: don't base your travel plans on having it in-hand)
