It's about 75 F (24 C) here at the moment, but is supposed to get up to 85 (30 C).

I have a question about Celcius and Farenheit. How long did it take for you to start using Farenheit when you moved to the U.S.? Mel doesn't know the Farenheit system, and wasn't really interested in the quick equations to roughly convert. I don't mind, I just learned Celcius. I even got my car's external thremometer on Celcius.

I've been here 2 months and have a hard time with F.... My husband got me a conversion sheet because I couldn't figure it out, I much prefer C. That was good of you to learn C though!!

I started using it right away. But I grew up with that system so had to learn the metric system later on in life, so I'm used to automatically converting fahrenheit to celcius and vice versa.

I honestly use weather.com and use the converter there.. it's preset to C.. and I often check the F to see what -14C "feels like" in F..

I'm on a math strike (since high school)

I don't use it and probably won't. I understand all temperatures in celcius. I understand warm temperatures in farenheit. ie: if it's 70 F - I know what that means - if it's 43 - I don't really know what that means.

I say why bother

Brrrrr! Now I am glad I don't have to deal with that kind of weather anymore! Goodluck on the rest of your trip - and safe travels.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Wow! I can't believe you guys were out driving in that - I never would have done that

I hope the rest of your journey is warmer!

It is chilly here this morning, 6c (42F) and overcast.

Oh, boo, Emancipation. :( Wrap up warmly. The snow will help for it to feel a bit warmer, so that's good.

This morning it was -4F/-20C when I walked my dog. I don't want to think about the wind chill, but I'm pretty sure it was quite near Absolute Zero. But the ground is bare....and the grass is brown.
