Well, I finally located my outdoor Christmas stuff. I tried really really hard, yesterday, to go outside and decorate but every time I got close to the door my inner child would start crying about how cold it was. Actually, it was more like "Noooooooooooooooooo. Don't make me go outsiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide." :crying:

I see on the news that it's going to be 50 on Saturday. That sounds like a good day for outdoor decorating.

It's been snowing here since last night. we've gotten about 2 to 3 feet easy, I had to get up this morning and go walk my son to daycare, a good thing it's not too windy or I too wouldn't have wanted to go out.

Wow, snow. We haven't seen any in our area as yet, but my sister in England has at least two feet! :o

I flew out of London right before they got hit with that snow. Friend up in Scotland has a ton as well. Here though it's supposed to be 62 degrees today, so still jacket weather unfortunatly. We will have a dryer and milder climate this winter because of La Nina so guess I can deal with that...

So, we are expecting snow on Monday apparently - highs will be around 27 to 28 degrees and lows around 13. Now, if this was back home in Canada I would say, ok, fair enough - it is December after all! But this is the Deep South , for heaven's sake! We are 20 degrees below normal for this time of year - and actually, the low is more like 25 degrees below normal. Heck - my friends back home in Chatham are warmer than this! Brrr - at least the sun is shining today and while it was about 20 when I got up at 7 this morning, it is now up to 38 on its way into the mid 40s. Saturday is actually going to be normal - before the storms starts up on Sunday with rain and turns to snow overnight. I've suggested that Joe works from home on Monday rather than deal with the nightmare that is going to be morning rush hour traffic of snow on top of ice on the Interstates. Ok - off to do some errands (have to make hay while the sun shines, you know!)

Great. Mathew and I are leaving for Iowa on Monday, and this weekend we're expecting a snowstorm carrying almost a foot of snow this weekend. Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem in a well prepared place. But this is Eastern Kentucky. We don't usually get a lot of snow or snowstorms so we'll probably be snowed in and driving to the airport will be awful. Maybe they'll break out the salt trucks early. Let's hope.

Did you get any snow?

I was out on the roads this morning and they've all been salted! It's not even that cold out. Weird. I guess they have a big budget. lol

We got about 2-3" of snow here in Knoxville. It is making my parents feel a little more at home....lol. All the schools are closed and I got a call from my Dr's office and my appointment is cancelled for today. Not sure if we will venture out shopping today or not. Will people be too afraid to drive and stay at home or will they all head out to the mall???????

Great photos! My old home town is getting socked with snow - we got some flurries on Sunday and now it is just cold and windy. We are lucky if we get above freezing these days and the overnight lows are in the high teens and low twenties. Wind chills are really adding to the problem, though. What ever happened to the sunny south?

Ohmygosh, that looks cold! Thanks for the pictures, Ashley!

It's fricking cold here. With the wind chill, it's 5f or -15c! :crying: I may as well be back in Canada.

I just read that Ontario's getting the biggest snowstorm they've had in 25 years! My parents' flight from BC and Mexico should be arriving within the next half hour. They've been away for almost a month. I think they're not going to be too happy when they get outside.

Here's a great jumping-off point for webcams:
