WOW, there is really no place more beautiful that Calgary in winter. Or summer for that matter.

That's beautiful, TM. :)

It's rained pretty much all day here (what a surprise?), but the sun is breaking through a bit right now.

Hopefully no big storms after Friday, though.

It is ridiculously cold here - having to leave all of the indoor taps running once again to prevent bursting water pipes overnight. This is the longest cold spell in Atlanta for decades - the next closest was a week of constantly below freezing weather in 1982. We've surpassed that record now. Thursday's snow is still on the ground - crunchy snow - and black ice is rampant on the highways. Water pipes are bursting all over the place. I gave my share of winter away when I moved here - someone come and take it back! The sun has been shining but the winds have been very cold today as well - don't know what the windchill factor is but temperatures in the high teens/low 20s plus 20 mph wind - it's there.

Well, we were lucky. The rain moved in this morning (actually, sleet at points - in Florida!), but was gone, thankfully, by 12:30.

Oh boy we were ever cold. I think our ceremony was all of seven minutes long, haha. We were all frozen.

wow. That's a pretty cool picture. No pun intended. lol

Oh wow. Really? Doesn't the heat of the house keep them from freezing? 1982 was our last cold record temps too. The orange orchard down the street has sheets of ice on the trees. I should go take a pic.

Nice 70 degrees here! But summer is like an oven...gotta pay the price somehow I guess!

I like ovens. lol

  • 2 weeks later...

It poured at my house in Santa Ana yesterday. It was raining so hard that the speed bumps in our association were completely under water. I have never seen this much rain at one time and it is suppose to get worse on Thursday. It rained for a while today but has cleared up now.
